Very good place especially for children when it's warm
Very good monument, work for Hull City Council in the toilets, (on cover) sometimes!
Hi..it's great place, fantastic in summer time., an it wont be long now.
Hull's main square with hundreds of years history surrounding it. Overlooking it are: Hull City Hall: An attractive building built in the 19th century and now hosting a variety of events. The Maritine Museum: Based in the old Docks Offices and now a museum celebrating Hull's maritime history. Ferens Art Gallery: An excellent art museum hosting an impressive array of art work from past masters to more modern pieces. In 2017 it hosted the Turner Prize. In the centre of the square is an impressive statue of Queen Victoria with some public toilets below it. Besides the statue are some fountains which children love playing in during the summer, bringing life and laughter to the square. In the evening, the fountains are illuminated with a beautiful display.
Nice square to see
There is loads of exciting things happening here, Currently the weeping window is in full bloom! The space is lovely now great redevelopment.
Ferens Art Gallery, Maritime museum lovely buildings always worthy of a visit. Now dancing fountain too.
Loved it. The vibe, the pavement water spouts and the statues and free museums. See my detailed post of turnrightoutofportsmouth on WordPress
