Very interesting church! Beautiful small church located in Fatih Istanbul. You can find old byzantine mosaics on the walls.

According to the sign with opening hours and ticket prices, it should be open and working as a museum. But there is no signs of life there and the locals say that it's closed (at least we interpreted it like that)

This is now called the Fethiye Museum and there is a small fee (or Museum Card) to enter. There are some lovely painted ceilings depicting saints and important Christians and these are remarkably well preserved (or restored). You have access to part of the building, the remainder has been converted to a mosque which is unspectacular inside. Very pretty fascade outside with the red roses improving the appearance.

Very interesting mosque/church. When you step in feels like your stepping back into history and can help feeling eary. Worth a visit.
