Jakarta Aquarium and Safari is a marine and freshwater aquarium located within a retail and leisure complex Neo Soho in Jakarta, Indonesia. The aquarium is home to hundreds of mammal, reptile, insect and various types of Indonesian marine fish, is to introduce to the next generation the biodiversity of the archipelago starting from islands, forests, and mangroves.
Other than Indonesian endemic animals, there are also animals from Africa and South America. The aquarium is a subsidiary of Taman Safari of Indonesia in collaboration with Aquaria KLCC of Malaysia. The Aquarium has received the accolade of Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence Destination 2018 and Indonesia Travel Tourism Awards (ITTA).
Despite the quite expensive entrance fees & some aquarium information display touch-screen monitors which don't work well, this place is pretty amazing. The interior ambience is just right, the staffs are friendly & very capable when providing the information details regarding the animals & fish in the aquarium. The Touch Pool is lovely, you can touch variable sea creatures there such as star fishes, crabs, small sharks & mantas, plus informative staffs. The Pearl of the South Sea Mermaid Show is great. The 5D Explorer studio is also a must-try. Oh, and there are some awesome giant groupers too.

Clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The staffs are all friendly and kind. Though the collection are still lacking, but still enjoyable. It has restroom and small cafe inside, so it's another plus. But I'm not too satisfied by the 5D theatre. It's so-so experience, even though it's just 5 of us inside, but still not that enjoyable. Will be boring for some people perhaps. Hoping that they will add more collections soon though.

No need to buy tickets for the 5D, the 5D was such a dissapointment doesn't meet my expectation.. Other than the 5D everything is great Nice place to bring your kids to learn about the sea animals, they also have penguins and beavers! The mermaid show is great too!

Clean and clear to see tanks, beautifully curated but what dissapoints me is how short the experience can be.. well for the money spent you'll understand.. overall it was great

Great place to see marine life. Not as big as SEA, but clean, well organized, inside the mall. A 5D attraction is good, one key advantage. The show and theater also good, nice cinematic, costumes and fine sound arrangements. But why the story told in English? Many visitors came from locals, right?

It's an OK place. Kids love it. There is a 3D ride at the end, although at a higher 'premium' price. Entry tickets are overpriced even more so on weekends. Some displays are video displays. Some corrals are dying. I would recommend Sea World (or whatever it is now called) in Ancol.

A really vast variety of fish and other sea creatures to look at and also learn about since they provide an iPad where you can check for information for each display (although it can be a little complicated to use especially for children and older folks). Although it's not as big as Sea World, there's so much to see and do (my family spent around 2 hours looking at all the showcases). Weekend are a bit crowded but a very family friendly crowd since most of the visitors are families with children. The musical/performance was very enjoyable even trying to sneak a peek from the back of a huge crowd, it still kept my attention). Really recommend!

The place has some upsides: 1. Located inside a mall in the middle of the city, easy to access; 2. Having sufficient specimen's diversity to exhibit; 3. The 5D Theater is also a fun ride to be had. While also having considerable downsides: 1. The price isn't that cheap to access, particularly in comparison to what the exhibitions have to offer; 2. I had troubles regarding online ticketing; 3. Some species are just somewhat out of place, like having a binturong although a good exhibition to experienced felt incompatible.

A so so experience. Displays are not great. The older and larger Sea World is far better. This place is not worth the money you pay. Only consolation is that it's in a mall and you can get out to a better option easily if you find the aquarium is toooooo boring. Pathetic options for snacking inside. Overpriced souvenirs. All in all, I would not be back here. Ah! Forgot to mention about the Pearl of the East show... nicely done piece of acting and costumes. That's perhaps the only saving grace for this place.

An aquarium experience in the middle if the city is a unique experience. They have a lot of fish collections and somo other animals too. The show was quite interesting, showing some of Indonesian heritage with some "mermaid". The ticket could be bought online, giving the best experience for us who wanted to buy the tickets beforehand

It was a nice large aquarium with variety of fish. They even have crocodiles, snakes, some kind of cat bear (? I don't remember the name). They allows you to touch some of them. I heard they do have penguins, although you have to eat at the designated restaurant to see them. Overall, I think it was a really nice experience, especially for those families with kids. Highly recommended for holidays destination in Jakarta.

Wonderful place for family. Lot's of Fish and water and sea creatures. Kids can learn and play. Good place to spend with Family. Connected to Pingo Restaurant, so we can eat and then continue to explore.
