The area was crowded.. many hawkers outside.. parking area available at Mandiri or another road close by.. no guide inside the museum.. some audio visual presentation like video or interactive screen will be better..

This museum has changed a lot in 10 years. Now the exhibition is more cared-for, clear description of the history, a walking lane so people don't bump into each other. Good place to know Jakarta's history.

Saya baru pertama kalinya kesini.

I love the historical building, and the sense of the past. The collections of the museum are cared quite well. Go here if you want to see Palawa letter printed on rock.

Finally! It has improved! This museum has been so boring without less collection, no air conditioner and looks untreated. Now, it has more historic collections, the rooms are designed well, no more hot temperature inside the museum thanks to air conditioner. There are some signs on each area. The toilet is getting better as well. Kudos!

#LetsGuide This place is one of historical place in Jakarta and we can feel the moment there. A lil bit creepy but yeah it will be happen if you are visiting museum. Have a local guide who will tell you for the stories but overall that was a such good historical place that we need to visit.

Last time I visited here was more than 10 years ago. This place had developed better since last time. Glass case, some air conditioned room, and some road signs were available now. But the second floor of museum was hot as hell, it would be better if the museum put air conditioner here. Nothing much to see actually

It has been renovated and looks modern. All rooms are fully air-conditioned. Here, you can learn the history of Jakarta. Some relics are still authentic. However, the souvenir shop looks a mess and has no concept. It's better to have unique mascot or icon for this museum rather than sell anything from all over Indonesia.

The representation of the museum is nice. Information are well explained in object's caption. The building are beautifully preserved. Minus one star because there are no staffs museum supervising the exhibition objects, many visitor touch even open the 300 years old cabinet. That foolish inlander

Good place to learn about history of Jakarta, and they also offering guided tour. Good display, but could be better with the circulation flow. Anyway, kudos for the improvement of the museum.

You can learn Jakarta’s history here. The window is instagramable, some people take pre-wedding photo here. The ticket is so cheap. Some area need to be cleaned, because still dusty. And I think we need more AC to make learn about Jakarta’s history more comfortable.

Crowded! Had to park my car across the building, paid approximately IDR 25.000 (forgot the actual price). Some interesting places also can be spotted around this museum. There was also KFC there! Oh my God.. made plastics.. rubbish.. everywhere. Please, for visitors show some respect! throw your rubbish into the dustbin.
