Amazing place. You can see a lot of different types of fish including white sharks. Although, some of the things can be improved like jelly fish section.
Nice for a short stay. But you should know that the standards are lower than in Europe. So the aquariums are often small and it is possible for tourists to hold snakes and touch many of the animals. It is hot inside, because the roof is like a tent and open at the sides.
Total time and money waste There are far better options in Singapore, Bangkok and Dubai. You can give it a miss. They have done a lot of trick work to make this below average place look good. The glass used is magnifying glass, to make everything look much bigger then it actually is. Go to this place only if you have never been to a marine world. Still if you wish to visit, please check for tickets online. You will get it at almost half the price.
Beautifully built aquarium and it has other animals as well like Otter and some reptiles like Iguana and Snakes. Otter feeding show is a must see, I love the fact about the way they have built the aquarium. It's beautiful to walk through as it is more of a tunnel, check out my pics these will explain better. One more best part is the fish feeding time they have where you get a close encounters with Sharks and Manta Ray's. Suggest to book the tickets online via Klook or through any agent in the city limits as this is located a bit far and is actually not a good idea to arrange your own transport. Apologies guys I know most of the pics below are unfortunately selfies.
There are many fishes and aquatic life here. Also some exotic lizards and snakes. Not a big place, but definitely enough to keep you excited for an hour two. A good place to go.
I have visited 2 under water world one in Langkawi Malaysia & one in Pattaya Thailand & Pattaya one is certainly the best. It's quite bigger & has a lot more variety of species. I liked Jelly fish as well as we saw baby sharks. There were fishes with tattoos. We saw lots of chameleon. Kids enjoyed it. Ticket is around 500 bhat for adults & 300 for kids. They have height measurement criteria for kids. Good & other gift items inside it are quite expensive. I was hoping for a under sea tunnel but it wasn't there & expected to see big sharks but Little disappointed on that front. Overall it was a wonderful experience.
Do not miss it. Entry is 500 Baht per person. And it is worth it. Very beautifully designed , this under and above water tunnel offers spectacular sights of the sea creatures. Photography is allowed but without flash . Also you can feed or touch (if you can) certain fishes. I touched starfish , which doesn't move at all :D .
Good place to visit in Pattaya. Itvwaa raining heavily that day in Pattaya and so we visited this place. No regrets. Although small, the underwater walk here is quite interesting. We got to see the feeding and that was interesting. A must visit in Pattaya if you have children with you.
This is one of the best tourist places. Especially for kids. I enjoy the place so much. Wish to go there again.
It is a must visit place in Pattaya. You see some open tanks first with fishes and turtles. Then you go inside to the under water tank.its absolutely amazing. The size of some of the fishes there is outrageous. Big sized sting Ray and sharks too!! It takes around 1 hour to see the entire place.
My first time here and it was a memorable one. You don't get to see these many types of fresh water fishes in one place. Must watch for everyone. If you are anywhere between 2 to 3 kilometers from this place and you want a taxi, they will charge you 150 baht which is daylight robbery. So, the best way to negotiate is tell them they are going to get commission from the underwater world people for taking you there, so, ask them to reduce. Maybe 30 to 50 baht per person not more than that. If two people are traveling and you follow my advice, you would be saving roughly 80 - 90 baht.
Only good for kids. Grown ups keep away. Pros: 1. A small but swirling place. 2. Variety of sea creatures to look upon. 3. Good place for the kids to awe those who haven't seen under water creatures floating above them. Cons: 1. Very expensive. 2. Creatures kept in pathetic conditions. 3. At any given point of time some of the sections are closed for maintenance. 4. The staff will click your pics while inside, and on exit they will sell it to you in nice paper frame. Although it's optional to buy, but the price for one pic is super high. Conclusion: Even though good for kids, though not worth visiting and is wastage of time, money and energy.
Underwater World Pattaya is home to marine life from the Gulf of Thailand, including colorful coral and sea animals. Not only is a place to enjoy at your leisure time, this aquarium in Pattaya is also a sea life learning center, a great choice for a family trip. Get a fascinating experience of an underwater world by walking though the 105-meter long glass tunnel with sea fish and other marine species gliding above you. The exhibition is divided into the following zones: Coral Zone: Watch rare beautiful sea fish swimming through vivid coral reefs. Shark and Ray Zone: See sharks, rays, and other big marine life. Visitors can also dive in the tank with a diving instructor to get a close up experience with the fish or watch how the fish is fed by the staff, with five feeding times a day. Giant of Siam Zone: Observe an artificial ship wreck which is a shelter for marine animals and see rare freshwater fish and economic fish of Thailand. Jellyfish Zone: The biggest collection of jellyfish species in Thailand. Reptile Zone: Watch a great variety of reptile species from all over the world. Other interesting activities include seeing an amazing anti-gravity fish tank, feeding carp and sea turtles, watching an otter show (four times a day), and shopping for souvenirs. When thinking of things to do in Pattaya, don’t forget Underwater World Pattaya!
Had an amazing experience here during my visit in February first week. The place seems to be outdated with old furniture and glass work for the rest of the part but when we enter the giant underwater tube it's just mesmerizing. The underwater pathway is the main attraction here which enables a diving focus point to every visitor. The huge variety of aquatic life is remarkable and their habitats are well decorated and clean. The in-house gift shop is quite pricey as compared to the goods that the offer and I advice you to avoid buying anything from there. We can get food and drinks in the store present inside. Overall a wonderful experience and must it's a must visit place if you haven't been diving yet. Children will love this place for sure. You can spend minimum 2 hours and maximum 4 hours entertaining yourself amidst all the creatures there.
