Fabulous day out. Well worth the money. Friendly staff. Excellent talks about the animals and birds. Def 5 star
We had a great time. We watched the Bird display and loved listening to the guy, I think he was called John, informing us all about the birds. We have been to a few places like this and I think they have a lot more than you expect. Large grounds. The food was good at the cafe too.
The wildlife park itself is pretty good, especially for children aged around 3 upwards. Although it's pretty expensive to get in compared to other wildlife parks it does have the free shows and the staff are really nice. We watched the birds of prey show which was good and also the meerkat feeding which we could join in with. However, if you are thinking of going here, take your own food. We were caught out with 2 young children who only wanted something small and had to pay £11 for 2 packed lunch boxes which consisted of 1 piece of bread and either ham, cheese or tuna. An Apple, a baby bell cheese. A milky way, a box of raisins and a carton juice. I understand that wildlife parks rely on people buying things from the parks to help towards food for animals and staff but there was no animal feed for sale like at other parks and based on today I don't think I'll be returning again.
We have visited this little zoo on quite a few occasions and have enjoyed it every time. The bird display is a must and the guy who runs it is very knowledgable and entertaining. I would recommend it for all ages. Nice little cafe there too or you can take your own picnic as there are picnic tables in the grounds.
Had a wonderful day at the wildlife park, went here by mistake when we planned to walk around the lake but took a wrong turn. A June weekend in glorious sunshine I was surprised by how quiet it was, which was a very lucky as we went to all the feeding/shows/meet the, sessions that park had on show that day. Something different is shown every 30mintues at different parts of the park. The bird shows are performed by someone who clearly loves his birds and gives back story. Reptile experience was great fun forcing the partner to hold some snakes and overcome her fears. Lynx! Wow what beautiful creatures they are and great to see them being fed. I would recommend the park to anyone who is looking for a great day out in a rural spot, I highly recommend it.
Fairly big place really. Staff friendly and helpful. Animal talks and encounters staged regularly through the day. Excellent food at the cafe. Animals not hidden away like at some places so you can get some good photos.
This was a brilliant place to take our 4.5 year old. The animals here are gorgeous (and seem quite happy). We didn't eat at the cafe as this was a last minute plan after we had lunch. So glad we came though! Definitely worth it. Toilets could do with a refresh and the soft play area could do with a wipe down.
We had a great time at this wildlife park after visiting the nearby Armathwaite Hall for an afternoon tea. The prices were reasonable and there were a lot of interesting animals to see. There were also some areas where you could pet the some animals including the llamas. The keepers hosted regular sessions to feed or show off the animals and were very knowledgeable. This place is great for a family trip or even for couples.
First time I've been here, went for a family day out and the kids loved it. The cafe does lovely food and homemade cakes. Prices are very reasonable. Will definitely go back for another visit.
Great little wildlife park. Wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. Plenty of parking and a 2 minute walk to the entrance. There is a cafe, shop and toilets and plenty of animals and facts. Including meerkats, zebras, emus etc. I would certainly recommend if you are staying up there or visiting for the day.
A lovely small wildlife park, with helpful keepers who answer your questions and who are very knowledgeable. Great place to bring the family. Has a small cafe and opportunities to pet the animals. Easy to get to Keswick and not too expensive.
Been here many times over the years. My daughter, mother and I visited August 2016 and enjoyed every minute. We especially enjoyed the otter and red panda talk!
A well worth visit for everyone. Spend a whole day here. You can take pack lunches or get food there. Everyone there is lovely
Lovely place. Me and my family enjoyed it. Would have been better if the weather was on our side though. Nice cafe with variety of snacks and hot food/drinks. Recommended.
Lovely little wildlife park. Knowledgeable staff, nice selection of animals (although not as many as advertised on website). A nice place to spend a few hours. Great value for money.
This was mine and my husband's second visit, and our first with a child. We all loved it here, and spent around 2 or 3 hours, but with a slightly older child I imagine you could spend much longer here! Our little one loved the meerkats, and really enjoyed being able to stroke the rabbits and guinea-pigs in the animal encounter. Some of the enclosures are a little tricky to see for little ones if they're in a pram or pushchair, so I'd recommend using a carrier so they can really get the most out of it.
