Definitely a surprise view. It is absolutely stunning. I could sit and take it in for hours. Get up there if you can. Well worth it.
We popped up here as a quick 5 minutes on our way home and I wish we spent more of the day here! Truly the most amazing view I have ever seen, the views over the lake are something else. The road up is quite steep and narrow but it did only take us 5 mins and was well worth the drive up!
A fabulous view of Derwent Water and, in the distance, Bassenthwaite. Easy parking but road very narrow so take care
as it says...a surprise view superb. great to watch the world go by.. stunning sunset and photo opportunity...
Hotel with good food. Perfectly placed if you are walking around the lake. Comforatble outside seating with beautiful view over the lake. Bring your walking boots and dog too. Nice mix of walkers and people dressed up for dinner. Good service.
An incredible view point over part of the lakes. There are several car parks along the road which are operated by the National Trust at about £1 (free for members). The road leading to it is very tight and is only enough room for a car. There is a very narrow bridge half way up the road which is incredibly tight. There are no toilet access however there are some free public toilets at the end of the road.
This is really a surprise view. One of the best possible top views where you can watch mountains and lake together. Good place to get a couple of picturesque views in pics. People needs to be little bit cautious while taking pics because there are no railings and it is almost an edge of a mountain. There are no other facilities available here except a small parking lot.
A great view of Derwentwater. Good access for cars.
Love this little place. Spectacular views and easily accessible
Stunning views...cant obv guarantee weather
What a gorgeous view over derwentwater and bassenthwaite lake in the distance with the surrounding mountains looking majestic over all
Came up to a car park spot on the 10 lakes tour to find an amazing view of the Lake, streams and landscape below. A very high point, lucky I didn't have to climb up!! Check out the pictures.
What a wonderful place! Breathtaking views, you need a few moments to take it all in, it's awe-inspiring and so peaceful! Pay and display car park, part of the National Trust, a real gem of the Lake District 💖 will certainly return for a day trip and a hike in the area!
Very much a surprise view. Really beautiful view of the lakes. You can't see it from the road/car park. National Trust car park right next to it. Would recommend a stop by if you are in the area. 🏞
