Some places are legendary for a reason. Mallory Square is one of them, and it lives up to the hype. One day here won't do it. You need one day to show up early and just enjoy the sunset while hanging with pelicans and seagulls. The sunset is insanely awesome from here... as long as no cruise ship is blocking the view. On another day, come just for the amazing set of buskers, easily some of the top street performers on the planet, and with a sense of humor that will leave you smiling. You'll likely need a third day just for the music and street performers, but save a fourth day to see the historical shops, the sponge market, and the museum. There's always more to see and enjoy here!

A must see! Incredible sunsets. Try to get here early because there's usually a crowd and it's also nice to get progression shots (pictures) of the sunsetting. There's so many little shops and eateries. Many street performers too. People from all over the world come here. We met so many colorful characters. There is some of the best seafood here and of course the Famous Key Lime Pie!!!! Can't come all the way to Key West and not have the Key Lime Pie. Enjoy!

HINT 1 : Get there early for sunset and remember, you want to be there well before "sunset" if you want good photos because you want to see it developing and it gets really busy as the sunset gets close. Hint 2 : I found parking easier in the Jimmy Buffet resort parking lot. (201 Front Street) Hint 3 : After sunset, go to the Island Welcome Center which is one of the entrances to the Square. Look for the trees near where the restrooms are. As it gets dark, the local roosters will make their way up into the trees. Fun to watch and get a few photos. Please give me a thumbs up if these hints were helpful or you agree! Malory Square is a place everyone should visit at least once. Great sunsets, watch the boats go by, lot of activity and the crowd response to the sunset is fun. There are a lot of street performers, if that is something you enjoy then this place is for you.

Great place to just hang out and watch the sunset. Terrific atmosphere, crowded but no pushing or angry people. Just a bunch of people from all over and of all types. Singing, dancing, juggling, acrobatics, smiling, laughing, crafts, drinks in coconuts always means a good time. Can't wait to visit again. Only negative thing was finding parking. We were very fortunate to find parking close to here, within 100'. Meter parking was kind of expensive but worth it to be so close.

Went there 2 hours before sunset. It wasn't crowded then. And easily got parking. Here parking is $4 per hour whereas the other parts of city it's $3 per hour. Gradually it's started to become busy. May street food options including nachos and freshly made guacamole and grilled corn. It was a fun place to visit. One shouldn't miss if you're in Key West.

As far as tourist attractions go, this place is tops. People gather here for the beautiful Key West sunset. There is an abundance of street performers to entertain the crowds and it's fun! Much of the time there are clouds yet it has enhanced the sunset if they don't completely block it. For times other than the sunset you have a variety of souvenir shops for finding any and everything you could possibly want as a way to save a memory of your visit to the Keys!

Lots and lots to do and see. Get there early for the sunset celebration. See the street performers. Very entertaining. Visit the aquarium, shipwreck museum, walk along the water. We got a pineapple drink for 8 bucks, with 1 free refill. Very nice.

What an awesome place. Key West has organized a beautiful event to celebrate its incredible sunset. People gathering to appreciate this moment, surrounded by street artists, music and some bars. Get your coat cuz the wind there is rough and depending the time of the year really cold. Arrives with at least 1 hour in advance the sunset to get a nice place to seat and stay and prepare your camera.

Key west claims they own the best sunset. You can agree or you cannot. But before you decide to not agree you need to think again. The sunset celebration could be the best thing you have done in your life. Don’t reach here a couple of hours before sunset , just reach there only 30-40 minutes. Enjoy all the shows and make sure you tip to appreciate what people do here to entertain you. A must do thing in key west. Most definelty enjoyed my time here. Would recommend to everyone.

Awesome! Still awesome after my 30 year absence. Better this time around. I had dinner with my wife on Sunset Pier at sunset. One of the most romantic times in my life. The shops, crowd, weather, people were great. The cruise ships come to Mallory Square. Highly recommend to any traveler to visit Key West.

It was really good time at Mallory square. Couple of street activities going on. The shops are really nice with reasonable price. Eye catching stuffs everywhere. The crowd fills you with energy. You can feel the positive vibes while looking at others and seeing them smiling, laughing, taking pictures and having fun. Also, a good point to watch sunset. More than 100 people will gather together to watch it.

Interesting square right next to the ocean facing sunset island (named for, you guessed it, the sunset that you can see there every evening). Pretty view and there are also a lot of street performers which were interesting. Also near lots of shops. Definitely a touristy area, so steer clear if you don't like those kinds of things and are more interested in the history. There is a memorial statue nearby though if you want a summary of the different military functions Key West served.

Excellent views of Sunset Key (and the sunset, of course). It is with in convenient walking distance of many nice restaurants, bars, and shops. It is also within short/flat/easy walking distance of some of the major hotels. It has a really lively, vibrant atmosphere with lots of street performances in the evening. There are lots of souvenirs for sale from vendors along the walk. Definitely a site worth stopping to see.

This is a HOT area during the day! It would be really nice if they had some shade and some benches to relax on while walking around town. We stayed on the other side of the island and used bus service to get back and forth. After so much walking around it would have been a great place to sit and relax for a bit. They do have the space for shade sails and benches! It might attract more people during the day and vendors could set up earlier for business. Also would have been nice to have some popcorn and nut vendors.

The Mallory square was very interesting! we stopped at the key lime pie original. Brought Souvenirs and rent a golf cart and the other family members rent the moped. This way we where able to see more of the island. We had a wonderful time!!

Famous spot on Key West to watch the Sunset. It was spectacular. The colours in the sky were amazing. It's a must do, if you visit. There are also side shows going on as part of the build up with a little carnival atmosphere.
