The Golden Gate of Kyiv (Ukrainian: Золоті ворота, Zoloti vorota) was the main gate in the 11th century fortifications of Kyiv, the capital of Kyivan Rus'. It was named in imitation of the Golden Gate of Constantinople. The structure was dismantled in the Middle Ages, leaving few vestiges of its existence. It was rebuilt completely by the Soviet authorities in 1982, though no images of the original gates have survived. The decision has been immensely controversial because there were many competing reconstructions of what the original gate might have looked like.

An amazing piece of history. Love walking to the square and just enjoying the atmosphere.
Good condition to be preserve. Historian might enjoy the atmosphere
Cool museum. This was the ceremonial gate for Kiev many hundreds of years ago. Pro tip: entrance to the museum is half off with a student ID (from anywhere in the world).

a beautiful place for aficionados of the Kyiv Rus history. This is one of the two ancient gates entrances to the old city of Kyiv. Take a tour inside, you will not regret it.
Cheap entry 50grn for tourist. Not much inside. Some signs in both Ukraine and English. Good views at you climb uo
Cool ancient building in the center of Kyiv, you can actually visit it and go inside and took the top flor with some city view. Worth a visit if you are first time in Kyiv. Nice cafe located nearby but working only during summertime. In front of the building from one of the sides you can find a monument to Yaroslav the Wise.
The Golden Gate museum demonstrates the remains of historical gates to Kyiv city. The authentic remains are actually inside the reconstructed gates. The Gates were built in 11th century and dismantled in Middle Ages. You may get there straight from subway station Zoloti Vorota (the Golden Gate).
Nice monument, place to relax in shadow with good Wi-Fi and a good choice of restaurants around
It's a HUGE place, very nice atmosphere and spirit. Knights and Kings, horses and more. Tournaments and shows
A well restored ancient building. You can see there ruins of the walls from XI century as well as other artifacts. Also there are a lot of Ukrainian/English language explanation plates, maps and models of the ancient Kyiv. This definitely one of oldest building/ruin in Kyiv. So it's history of the heart of Kievan Rus as is. Besides, on balconies nice view and good place for photoshooting :) Strongly recommend to visit
I love the atmosphere.. is good for devotion especially in the church at the top
