Good beer selection (had Brewdog's Dead Pony Club on tap). Sat in the sunny beer garden after a long walk from Newtonmore
Cute pub with really good food. There was a bit of a wait to get our dinner but the hostess was up front about it when we came in and we didn't wait any longer than she estimated. Very friendly staff and some good pints on draught.
Let down by poor customer service and cook, also reseated several times after waiting several minute's at the bar to be even acknowledged. Sent a "well done" (expensive) steak we asked to be cooked medium/rare to have back a medium/well done version with less mushrooms etc on plate, gave up by then as my food was getting cold....Lovely interior and great place to visit for a pint, once acknowledged that is!
Stopped here for a much appreciated drink. Great service. The staff brought bowls of water out for the dogs so everyone got to quench their thirst.
We went to the Tipsy Laird in September for dinner. We were told that there was about a 45 minute wait. We thought okay, we have a drink and relax after a long day of driving. After an hour we asked how much longer and were told that they were getting ready for a large reservation and it would be longer. Mind you there were open tables and other customers were getting served. Not once did they approach and ask if we needed anything. My daughter went and purchased our beverages. Ultimately, we left after 2 hours and got fish and chips from the shop on the corner.
We loved this place! Despite being the only out-of-towners there, everyone(even the dogs) were warm and welcoming. They had a limited, but high quality selection of real ales and the food was exceptional.
The local watering hole in Kinguisse offers a wide selection of beers and ciders, good food and caters to both the local crowd as well as the tourists coming here for the national park. Pop in for a drink or two and some bacon wrapped chicken breast filled with haggis.
Wonderful food, reasonable prices - and when there was an issue with our orders, the staff resolved it quickly and politely, and we were generously compensated! Wholeheartedly recommend the veggie burgers
This place serves simple but tasty food for a reasonable price. Cask ales were really good too! I hope you have a nominated driver when you visit this place. :)
