Disney Springs (previously known as Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village in 1975, Walt Disney World Village in 1977, Disney Village Marketplace in 1989, and Downtown Disney in 1997) is an outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, near Orlando. It opened on March 22, 1975, and has been expanded and renamed over the years. In 2013, plans were announced for a three-year renovation and expansion, and on September 29, 2015, the name was officially changed to Disney Springs.
The 120-acre (49 ha) complex includes four distinct areas: Marketplace, The Landing, Town Center, and West Side. Buses and water taxis operated by Disney Transport provide transportation between Disney Springs and other areas of Walt Disney World.

They have really done a good job here. I like the changes they've made recently. It's more inviting now. They have awesome stores that you can't find anywhere else. They have some amazing attractions. And some of the best restaurants around. FYI, Planet Hollywood is the best. I also like the new Coca-Cola store. Good job Disney!

Disney Springs is more than a shopping District, it has a little bit of everything. Eating, Shopping, Live Entertainment. With all of the improvements over the past year, things just keep getting better and better. At times I miss some of the old places from Pleasure Island but now it feels much more spacious even when the incredible Parking Garages are crazy full. The Cast seemed much happier, more like they feel like they are a part of the show, like the Park cast do. Even the non-Disney Cast seem so Happy to be a part of this amazing place. The magic is contagious. I love how you can walk through the different areas of the springs and see mimes with guests interacting having photos taken in one area and a few feet away you have a group of live musicians playing and guests dancing in the streets. Eating has never been better. All of the new tastes and smells are incredible and the different price ranges are fantastic because it appeals to everyone. The last part I have to talk about is the gorgeous look of the new areas melding with the new. The Spring itself is incredible and I love how it winds it's way through the area. So many great photo ops. This is a great place to eat, shop, drink and just chill.

Disney springs is a great way to start your Disney Vacation or even relax after a long day. You will find something for everyone here. This includes shopping, eating or having fun. From fine dining to a bar they have it all. They also have live entertainment in a few spots. Some of the artists are very talented and gather a large crowd. A beautiful place to enjoy and treat yourself. Just be aware that prices are going to be high for most stores and dining.

Had a great time, though a little pricey. Enjoyed a quick dinner and a movie. It is mostly a tourist area but us locals can enjoy these areas just the same for a premium. The reasons I don't give a 5 star are the price we locals pay and way too many people. And room for improvement! Enjoy!

We took our two oldest grandsons who were turning 10 to Port St Lucie Florida for a long weekend. We drove to Orlando to Disney Springs which is an easy 1.5 hr drive. Disney Springs is a fun boardwalk with food and drink to go and also full service restaurants along with so many different shops!! Great people watching and plenty to do!! Activities to watch, music, boat ride, movie theater and on and on. Boys loved the LEGO Store and Jurassic Park Store!!
