SeaWorld Orlando is a theme park and marine zoological park, in Orlando, Florida. It is owned and operated by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. When combined with its neighbors Discovery Cove and Aquatica, it forms SeaWorld Parks and Resorts Orlando, an entertainment complex consisting of the three parks and many hotels. In 2018, SeaWorld Orlando hosted an estimated 4.594 million guests, ranking it the 10th most visited amusement park in the United States.
SeaWorld Orlando opened on December 15, 1973 as the third park of the SeaWorld chain and just 2 years after Walt Disney World Resort's Magic Kingdom. This made Central Florida a multi-park vacation destination. SeaWorld was sold in 1976 to Harcourt Brace Jovanovich then to Anheuser-Busch, owners of Busch Gardens, in 1989.
Sea World is so amazing. I didn't even have time to explore all the parks and it was still incredible. They truly care so much about the environment. The employees are great and happy to help with any questions you may have. It's lovely to see a place so in touch with the environment. One of the few places that still keeps in touch with nature

Shows were top notch, staff was super friendly, park and bathrooms were clean, beautifully landscaped. Excellent time spent there. The only reason I'm giving a 4 star instead of 5 is because of the lack of efficient and fair use of the signature show seating pass. It was very unorganized and folks without the passes would just fill in and the staff was none the wiser. They had us sit in the handicapped section once because the reserved seats were already full. The only way I can see these passes as even remotely beneficial is on a crowded day and you arrive at the shows at least half an hour prior. My advice, save your money on the preferred seating for the shows, all the seats are stadium seating anyhow and you can see great from any of them. On the other hand the quick queue passes for the rides are extremely beneficial even in the off season. Saves tons of time. We'd never have been able to ride and make all the shows without the ride pass. Overall, great day there. Would definitely go again.

A great time for the whole family. Far more reasonably priced than Disney world. A lot to do for the whole family. We watched shows, and got to see marine life in more natural surroundings. The play spaces were great for our littler ones to let of steam, while there was plenty to entertain and educate our older children. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. A highlight was eating at the Shark outpost - with fish swimming right by our table!

We love SeaWorld! We love the shows. I love that they are moving away from the killer whales "performing" for us to more of a natural habitat for them where we can view and learn about them. They're not there yet but it is in the works. Love all the shows and the animal viewing area. We really enjoy the educational aspect of it also.

It was an amazing experience. I really recommend people to go out and enjoy once in a while, and Sea World is a good place to enjoy. You have to know how to do it though. My advise is that you spend that extra money and get the fast lane pass. Trust me, you are not going to regret it. And also an option is to but the all day dine in pass that way way you don't go hungry and enjoy even more. You are going to see all the savings.

Sea world offers such a great bang for the buck. They put on great events such as the seven seas festival. Lots of food and drink selections for a reasonable price with the punch card. The park is nicely maintained and you don't have the overwhelming crowds like at other parks. Rides are fun too. Whether the regular shows or special event concert shows it's a good time.

I love this park. It is usually quite and easy to ride all the rides. Also, having animals to view is a plus if you have long lines the day you visit. The playground they have in the kids area is awesome. I always enjoy climbing with my son. Great way to get a mid day workout. The coasters range from fast and furious, to mild and meek. Great for all ages and thrill seekers. The shows are fun and entertaining enough to keep the kids occupied while you rest your feet. The food is good, always expensive at the theme parks, but at least it tastes good.
Ryan SvoltoApr 2, 2018
We love SeaWorld I know its not very PC to say that these days due to the haters but the place is lovely. Yes, there are some exhibits that need making larger or need updating. But you can see that this is happening gradually and as they move away from the killer whale shows, they are investing massive amounts of money into coasters and other rides to entertain the public and allow them to invest more money into conservation. Don't stay away because you love animals, VISIT because you love animals and your money will well spent on saving the thousands who need help every year. Oh and visit turtle trek, its just magical.

Loved it. Great shows, great people, long lines, and you can't take a bag anywhere. If you like standing in line and meeting new people, this is for you. If you like paying an extra 15 dollars an hour to store your bag because it's literally not allowed anywhere within the park, this place is for you. If you plan to ride the rides, don't bring kids shorter than 56 in....or you will be riding alone.

My favorite of the local theme parks. It's always much quieter and relaxed. Not so over crowded. They often have free concerts. It's a beautiful place to walk and there are tons of shows and things to see. The kids area is great! There is even a special room to relax, use the bathroom and nurse your child.

We got to hang out with and pet some penguins, feed sea lions, and watched some amazing shows. Some things cost extra but it was so much fun and very memorable. The park hours were short and wish we got to see it all but the insane amount of clean up and taking care of the animals I can understand that. Exciting rides! Wonderful and magical place! We will return as soon as possible for some more fun times.

This park is very well maintained and the attractions are plentiful. There is a wide variety of entertainment to choose from, from dolphin shows to kiddie rides to bigger roller coasters for the thrill seekers. The Manta is a particularly exhilarating ride, and there are many other coasters to choose from. Despite what many people think, SeaWorld does not abuse their animals. In fact, they have one of the largest manatee rehabilitation programs in the world. They are constantly bringing in animals in need and giving them the time and care that they need to heal. Visitors are able to view the hospital pools where mammals in need of serious recovery can heal without worrying about interference from fellow animals. The animals here at SeaWorld appear perfectly content and at ease around both their trainers and visitors. It is quite sad that so many avoid SeaWorld due to supposed mistreatment of the animals. There was one instance years ago when one employee, ONE employee, was accused of potentially being cruel to animals, but that should not have subjected all of SeaWorld to a tarnished reputation. My family and I, which consisted of myself, my mother, and my three younger siblings, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and there was fun for each of us, Our ages ranged from 8 to 37, and we were all able to enjoy ourselves.

Sea World is amazing! You can come face to face with some of most majestic and beautiful sea life. Gain knowledge and create a growing love and compassion for what lives on our earth! Every show is fantastic! The rides are so much fun! Be prepared to get soaked in Journey to Atlantis!! The penguin enclosure is so amazing to be able to be so close to them. Sea World helps so many conservation, rescues and rehabilitation organizatiobs, along with the amazing work they do!!! Spend time having fun and helping our marine animals at the same time!

What a great place to visit in April. Not too cold or too hot. I have not seen my husband smile like this in years and the friendliest people you will ever meet. From touching sting rays to enjoying the pleasures of taking everything in. Never know what fear looked like till today, when watching children and small babies getting splashed by the water. My favorite moment was the dance between the handlers and the animals what a joyous event for the whole family.
Maria D.MarinApr 25, 2018
The atmosphere was relaxed and not too crowded. I enjoyed the shows and strolling through the park. There is no shuttle from the parking lot to the front gate, so be prepared to walk. Prices were reasonable, I recommend buying a refillable cup, it adds up in savings.

Have season passes so come here several times a week just to have some fun. The staff is always helpful and friendly, the events are a lot of fun, the food and wine festival with concerts were a blast. Cannot wait to continue to explore their electric ocean events! The shows are incredible, and love getting to encounter the animals so close. The rides are fun too! The roller coasters are a blast! Definitely a great time for all ages!

My boyfriend, my 11 year old daughter and me had a super great time. We love Busch gardens and for a few extra bucks each we could add Sea world to our passes. Being that none of us have been here, we didn't know what to expect. All 3 of us had the best time. We enjoyed the roller coasters the most. The penguin exhibit was excellent also, as well as the other aquarium exhibits. The animals looked happy and well taken care of. And with universal going along with Disney not wanting to build new roller coasters/thrill rides, this was amazing for us. We loved it.

This past weekend we went to Discovery Cove, and our passes got us into SeaWorld for free, so we decided to go spend the day there following our day at Discovery Cove. I didn't have any expectations, but I ended up having a total blast. You are able to get so close to and interact with a variety of aquatic wildlife. Petting and feeding the stingrays was so cool, as was feeding the sea lions, and getting a few inches away from the penguins was very neat as well. The restaurant "Shark's Underwater Grill" was perhaps my personal highlight - it's a very classy restaurant where the central feature is a massive tank all along the back wall, filled with all kinds of fish and sharks, just swimming around peacefully (mostly) together. It was totally mesmerizing. The "Pets Ahoy" show was also absolutely fantastic, as was the dolphin show towards the end of the day. I didn't end up going on any rides, although next time I go, I definitely want to ride the Manta. Overall, we had such a good time. It was the perfect way to finish out an extraordinary weekend.

My wife and I are season pass members. Despite the park not being huge, there is ALWAYS something to do! Our favorite places and things to do in the park are the Dolphin Days show (Nick is the best trainer!!! ❤️), the One Ocean show, the stingray petting pool, dolphin nursery, and the Manta aquarium! Going supports ocean life and research. Despite the food, drinks, and souvenirs being average amusement park pricing, I don't mind paying for the sake of the animals. Park associates are always super helpful and nice, and even more engaging now that the pin trading - which we're both addicted to now! ❤️ - is in full swing! Animals aren't like metal-made attractions; they're always changing and showing off their new tricks and flair and personalities! So there's always something new to see!!! 🐳 We will remain pass members who frequent the park at least twice a month for as long as we live in Florida. :) Thanks, SeaWorld, for all you do for your guests and animal friends!
Laura DempseyMay 27, 2018
Love taking my family here, as locals we visit often. I love how every month there are new special events and fun things going on. Park and restrooms are kept clean. The dolphin show is so much fun and just spectacular! I love the meal deal and refill cups, totally worth the money. The rides here are great but do tend to break down A LOT which can be extremely frustrating especially on really busy days. Not a whole lot for smaller children however they are currently working on this which I really appreciate. Tons of we'll cared for animals to learn about and enjoy. Overall a great time and a great value for the money. Seaworld understands how to accommodate big families and we keep coming back so thank you for your affordable prices and continuing to add new great rides.

A place to have fun with your family and friends. The dolphins, whales, and sea lions shows are great. The bubble theater show is unique, exotic and amazing for children and folks of all ages. Never knew the science behind bubbles and didn't know you could do amazing things blowing bubbles. The shark thank aquarium was neat. The food was good with a special deal of $34.99 you can eat all day with intervals of 1 hour. My husband enjoyed immensely. For me ordering one meal was great. So the option was cool and on what you desire for yourself!

SeaWorld Orlando is an excellent park to visit! Its always clean, neat and has impressive gardens and seasonal/holiday themes so that the pass holder gets something different each time they visit. I always enjoy the shows involving the animals in skits. They're sometimes unpredictable which makes them even more fun to watch!! I'd suggest you check out the area map and decide where you want to eat and what shows you want to see before you do anything else so you don't miss a showtime because you stopped to get a snack somewhere. The park is huge and shows are going on constantly. The shop prices are reasonably priced and a great place to pick up gifts. The main attractions have always been the Shamu shows involving the Killer whales however, gone are the days of trainers interacting in the pool while riding on the whales nose. The shows are less spectacular and of course less dangerous too. I do feel they should concentrate more on how to make that particular show more interactive (safely of course). Money should be spent on figuring out what will work within the legal and safety parameters to fix what seems to be broken now. It will be years before the memories of those unbelievable shows of the past stop making these new safer and duller shows so disappointing. They need to revamp the whale show because that is why people come.
Marianne HughesJul 12, 2018
Love this place. Search online for ticket and parking deals. This is a great place to take the kids to interact with aquatic animals. Take your time, see the shows. Don't let the bad media shut this place down. Bring some cash food and drink can be pricey. Look into the all day meal deal. Parking is ample, but the 30 bucks to get in the lot was NOT expected. They are nice to veterans, ask about military discounts! Pack your patience and enjoy the visit!

We were pleased with our visit; although, it would have been the best experience of there was a way that my son could have been near the tank during the dolphin show. We were there for make a wish and had the seats at the far back because people in wheelchairs couldn't get access to the front where the tank is and my son is in a wheelchair. The lady next to us in her wheelchair was also saying it would be nice if people in wheelchairs could sit in the front closet to the tank. I hope you find a way to let the people in wheelchairs get a seat at the front, I'm sure the disabled community in wheelchairs would love better seats at the front.

I loved sea world. Everyone I ran into that worked there seemed very happy and pleased to help. I took my son for the first time as well and he enjoyed himself very much. The only addition I would like to see them add is maybe some misting “cool zones” as we went in the middle of July and the Florida sun is very unforgiving! If sea world added some misting stations around the park I think it would enhance the experience as well!
Ashley ThurstonJul 26, 2018
Friendly staff. Clean park. Our family did not do any rides or any shows. We only went to visit the animals which was such a joy. Be careful near the sea lions though the sneaky smart wild birds will try to swipe your fish! The spinning viewing tower was a nice break from walking around and allowed you to see for miles.

SeaWorld is a wonderful theme park. Great shows, great rides, and reasonably priced good food as far as theme parks go. If you are spending the entire day, the all-day-dining deal is very good. Depends a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere and we have always found the park Personnel very friendly and helpful. SeaWorld also does a great job with their special events. We loved going at Christmas!

We had a great time! Was very well kept and clean, animal were well cared for and the employees seem to go out of their way to make your visit enjoyable. We got the all day meal deal (a meal every hour is available at most restaurants, if you wish) and the quick queue which were both well worth it. Mako was one of the best coasters I've ever been on! My family had a blast and we got our tickets for free since my husband is a veteran. We appreciate that so much. We went on a Wednesday and it wasn't too packed.
