Wat Plai Laem (Thai: วัดปลายแหลม) is a wat on the resort island of Ko Samui, Thailand. Like the nearby Wat Phra Yai or "Big Buddha Temple", it is a modern Buddhist temple. The temple's design incorporates elements of Chinese and Thai traditions and was in part designed by distinguished Thai artist Jarit Phumdonming. Its main statue, which is in Chinese style, is not of Gautama Buddha. It is a form of the bodhisattva of compassion and mercy, Avalokiteśvara, called Cundi. This form of the deity is known in Chinese as "Guanyin with eighteen arms".
In addition to the main statue, there is also a white statue of Budai and smaller shrines dedicated to Ganesha, Vishnu, Shiva and Sakka.

Fantastic, very colorful and beautifully architectured temple with various buildings in and around a lake full of fish and turtles. Amazing roof architecture. Abundant golden decor. Lovely paintings inside. Really worth the visit!

Nice visit at morning around 09:00 where it is quiet and not crowded. Beautiful buildings both inside and outside.

Amazing temple! A must see if you visit Samui. I would say that it’s better then the Big Buddha on the little island.

Very beautiful place with lot of amazing viewpoints. You need to prepare your wear if you want to go inside the temples. Better move here afternoon, cause there are lot of tourists.

One of the best temples in Ko Samui island. Free enter, but have to wear long clothes as it’s in each temple in Thailand or some other countries

Every time I go to Samui I visit this place I have taken some of my favorite photographs here. It has many nice statues and structures to look at. You can feed many different animals and fish around the temple. A great place to take your children. It has clean bathroom and plenty of parking space for a automobile or motorbike.

I like this place and I recommend to visit its. There are beautiful thai architecture, lake with big fish (you can buy food and feed fish), about 5 temples and area for walking and take photos.

Very nice and colourful place. As from my view bit over hyped by tourists but taking in to account that there is not so many attractions to see on the Island, it's worth visiting. At least for a nice pictures ))

Equally as beautiful if not more beautiful than the big Buddha. It has lots of temples around to explore, its surrounded by water with monk fish (I think) and you can pay 10bahts for a basket of fish food to feed the fish, feeding the fish was entertaining in itself.
