Tivat (Montenegrin: Тиват, pronounced [tîv̞at]) is a coastal town in southwest Montenegro, located in the Bay of Kotor. As of 2011, its population was 9,367. Tivat is the centre of Tivat Municipality, which is the smallest municipality by area in Montenegro.
In Serbian and Montenegrin language the town is known as Tivat (Тиват); in Italian and Venetian as Teodo; the name of the city is derived either from the name of Illyrian Queen Teuta who ruled the region in 3rd Century BC, or from the Greek word "Θείοδος" (Theiodos meaning "way of God").

What a beautiful port! So different and upper class compared to its surrounding. Great restaurants by the water and some great bars. As you walk you see the super yackts and big luxury boats. Worth a visit!

Absolutely amazing place. I found it way better than Monaco. Everything is completely new and beautiful. The yachts are amazing and the restaurants are awesome. The difference to Monaco is only that it has more space and is MUCH CHEAPER!

Love this place for people watching. More reasonable than you would expect. Great range of restaurants, ice cream parlour and upmarket shopping.

Very nice port with some nice views for taking photos, and coffee bars and restaurants along it with variois prices. Many nice restaurants on yachts are available in the evenings as well. There are several hotels within the area as well. It is worth visiting both during day and night when an “Eiffel tower ” like lifting thing can be seen changing colours. Also at night often there are music events on the old port near.

Extremely overpriced for what it is at the moment; a large construction site. Parking within the facility is 2e per hour, while you can park on public parking with a lot of shade just outside (and actually closer to the finished shops and restaurants) for 0.8e per hour. White stone path by the sea is unbearable during sunny hours. Regent has some nice drinks and sweets. I cannot comment on hotels, it is far beyond our budget :) but I guess they are great!

I think there is amazing place. Espacially architecture is very tempting. If possible I would like to live here for many years.

Got ripped off in their club (platinum) for charging €30 for 3 rum with coke. Absolutely appalling.
