The Collegium Maius (Latin for "Great College") located in Kraków Old Town, Poland, is the Jagiellonian University's oldest building, dating back to the 14th century. It stands at the corner of ulica Jagiellońska (Jagiellon Street) and ulica Świętej Anny (St. Anne Street) near the Main Square of the historic city centre. Collegium Maius is the location of the Jagiellonian University Museum (Polish: Muzeum Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego), a registered museum established on the initiative of Prof. Karol Estreicher after meticulous restorations which lasted from 1949 until 1964 bringing the edifice back to its original look from before 1840.

Nice museum, has a pretty good collection. they have 2 tours, the one I took was tje normal one that is an overview of the history of the university. The second one (I didn't knew then that existed) is more scientific and it sounds like a lot of fun. The only thing I must say is that maybe the tour is too short in order to see the details, because there are many object worth seeing and the schedule is fitted in such way it can not be delayed. If you want to take your time I recomend to take the last tour because is more relaxed and the guide let you take your time to appreciate the exhibition.
Absolutely must to visit place in Krakow! Small scale Oxford! Beautiful architecture and lot of history :)
Didn't take the guided tour, we just looked at the courtyard and watched the animated chiming clock perform. A quieter part of Krakow with fewer tourists but still fairly busy. Worth a look and also a quiet stroll around the university buildings.
Beautiful place to visit. Glad to see how academia was well cherished in the past.
Nice too visit come about 12:50 too see the playing figures.
The oldest university in Krakow where Copernicus studied. The animated clock was the very highlight of the tour. It usually happens five times a day, 9Am, 11Am, 1Pm, 3Pm and 5Pm.
Nice place, check out the mechanical watch in the inner yard.
Went to listen to the display of the Los clock. It did not fail and was very timely.
