Because of Angkor Smiling we had a wonderful day spending in and around Angkor Wat...Sam gave us so much information about the Wats, great! He's a really good tourguide and also very friendly and funny🙂We had a great day, thank you Sam!

With all due respect, let me kindly explain why I'm giving one star here and why I am furious to see what Angkor Smiling Tour did. I am a Level 5 Local Guide on Google Map, which means that I have written reviews and suggested edits for more than 500 places around the world. As you may know, the information in Google Map is heavily crowd sourced, meaning that you and I can both suggest edits. There are so many Google Map Local Guides taking the time every day to suggest correct information on Google Map, so that you and I, everyone, can benefit from the accuracy. Don't you hate going to a place knowing it's open according to Google Map but only to find out that it is not? Won't you feel that your precious time is wasted when you open a wrong link in Google Map or make a phone call with the wrong number?
Yes it is exactly why I, as a proud Local Guide, am furious. Please see attached screenshot. Someone tried to change the information of Terrace of Leper King to that of Angkor Smiling Tour! They also tried changing the information of Phimeanakas (in Angkor Thom), but I voted "wrong" already (Yes, Google ask local guides to verify suggested edits).
Let me take one step back and be more fair: I cannot say that it is 100% certain that an Angkor Smiling Your staff/employee/owner who was trying to change the information. However, do you think that someone changed it for fun? Highly unlikely. Then, do you think it's a competitor trying to sabotage them by hoping that an legitimately angry Google Map Local Guide will come to TripAdvisor to give them a 1 star review? Emmm, in my humble opinion, that sounds like way more calculation and way more work than simply focusing on making their service better!
I am compelled to leave this review here because Google Map helps everyone that uses it. The accuracy of its information depends on EVERYONE of us. Seeing an irresponsible and inaccurate edit being submitted for personal interest is INFURIATING. So long as I am in this area, I will not tolerate such actions. I will make sure to vote these irresponsible edits "WRONG" every time I see them. Whoever did this, it is so low of you. Get your marketing game on in a more legit way!

We've done the classic Angkor one day tour and were amazed by the flawless organization of our trip. Very nice tour guide who gave us so much background information about the temples, Angkor and Cambodia👍
