Really enjoyed our meal at Haven. Delicious food and excellent service. Brilliant social enterprise supporting local people. Highly recommend.
Our experience in Heaven was very positive. We loved the food. It was the best Fish Amok we tried. The rice dumplings were also very good and a big portion. The ambience is nice and the service was very good. So if you are in Siem Reap, make sure you check it out. It is totally worth it!
4 stars with me probably worth 5 with ither people. Food is great, service nice. The garden setting is comfy. Tried the curries, very good if a but tiny portions. Will go back. I recommend Haven and Chamkar.
We enjoyed a fantastic late lunch at Haven. The service was great and the food was excellent. We especially enjoyed the Amok. My wife had spent a good amount of time volunteering in Cambodia and this was one of the best Amok's she has had. We've found Siem Reap to be increasingly expensive for tourists over the years. Prices in Haven are no higher than anywhere else in the city, but the fact that this place makes the effort to give back to the local community makes it much easier to justify the cost of the meal.
The food was very good. Most of the staff are trainees so you are helping youngsters to learn a profession by eating here. It's not a big place so booking is recommended. However it does look like they hold a table back for walk-ins. They also have two shared tables that each seat 8 people. Most tables are for two people and have plenty of space around them so it's not as cramped as most bars. The menu is varied and can be found online. It is a little more expensive than a bar but that is compensated by the extra space and the fact that you are making a positive contribution to helping someone find gainful employment. Any tip you leave is held back until the staff finishes their training so that they have a lump sum to aid them get employment.
