Wow. The park is very nice. And the main reason is that birds are almost everywhere free. Even if they can't fly so far in the sky, there is a huge net. But usually I feel sad to see birds in cage. I was still a little sad but at least, most of them can fly and move. It's a compromise between zoo and free. Kind of. And you see them very very close. A bird "bite" my hand cause I sat close to him, was funny. You can watch people feeding birds sometimes in the day, and there are spectacles but didn't see it. Restaurant inside it is very very nice (best satay I tried in KL so far). And, there are monkeys!
A memorable experience. They have a huge variety of different bird species and a lot of them roam about in the open. A good place to visit with friends and family. The staff is very friendly. The vegetation is also lush green. Overall i had a very unique experience and the ticket was worth 67 ringgit. Regards
It's a big park with a lot of birds, most of them roaming free under the huge net enclosure. Entrance was 67 RM / person (probably slightly overpriced in my opinion). You can watch them from very close because they are used with people and are not afraid. Some parrots will come to take the seeds from your hand. You can also buy seeds from the machines and feed them. There are specific times when they feed the birds so be sure you catch the eagles feeding time. There are several waterfalls and one walk through cave which has a window towards the waterfall nice! The best show is given by the peacock :)
Not fully open Bird Park but has good proportion of free roaming birds with many varieties. Best part is so many peacocks roaming around freely. Great for family time. You also take photos with Macaw birds. The park restaurant is also good and have delicious dishes.
One of the must visit place in KL. It consists varieties of birds that can be enjoy by visitors. Some birds are roaming freely without cage but rest assured those birds are friendly to people, take this chance to have a close look with these birds. It is also a good spot for photographer hobbyist. Don't just take my word, take a look on my photo that I took during my visit !
They say it is the largest bird atrium in the world, if it is not; it must be close to the biggest. In essence they have put a huge net over half the park and then let the birds roam around, so you can get really close! Easy to spend 1-2 hours there, if you are keen photographer then you will need longer. There is a show at the far end of the park which is worth watching (and gives you sometime to cool off in the shade as KL is quite hot!). Definitely worth a visit! Simplest way to get there is to take a taxi there and back.
Great place to visit. They have a variety of bird species. Was very nice to see that the birds aren't afraid of people and kids. They even come sit with you when you are eating an ice cream. We also got a change to feed some parrots. They will come sit on your arm or shoulder and eat their porridge.
Quite a nice place. In the middle of KL and easily accessible. Free parking. A decent collection of birds and a very nice bird show to watch. Lots of shades and nice to walk around. Price is slightly on the higher side for foreigners. Overall a good place to visit. Note that the whole park can be covered in half a day.
Breath taking Garden you will be amazed from the quantity of bears walking around you free in the garden so you can take lots of photos while roaming in the garden and see different kind of brids. There is amazing birds show at the far end of the garden don't worry the staff will tell you to go there when the show started. Also all the timing mentioned along with the map of the garden. Love the concept and we highly recommend it. Note: if I'm not mistaken there is next to flowers garden but we didn't enter due to the timing so if you planning to enter both garden's you have to come earlier you will spend good 2-3 hour's only in the birds garden.
A must visit for any family vacationing in KL. It is huge and you will have to walk all the way. But since it is shaded in most part, there won't be m ch problem even on hot days. Start from your right and go to the left from there. Look out for the timing of bird feeding especially kites and eagles for they r a spectacle. And of course the bird show is a must. Go early and occupy a good seat in front rows. Food and water available, but a bit pricey. The gift shops are moderately priced. Best was watching the peacocks in their most majestic glory.
Touch the nature from near!! Amazing to stay close with birds. Birds dont fear of people here. You can feed them and have close pics. They have created a net all over so birds can stay inside and you may enjoy closeness with them. Charge your camera before going to this park. You might also need a bigger capacity SD Card. Atmosphere remains humid due to climate and park being mostly on wet soil.
This the place to visit if you came to Kuala Lumpur for many reasons. No. 1 Reasons. Its entertaining, life time experience, seeing all birds No. 2 Environment is very friendly, natural, greenery everywhere, good track to walk and see wonderful birds No 3 Their is a bird show if you go there that's must visit. They have 60 ringgit entrance fee as of May 2018..its bit expensive but they do offer discount to students, if you are student you pay half of the amount. Please don't forget to bring your student card or student pass passport. Overall place is also wonderful must visit
Definitely worth a visit. The park is huge and houses a wide variety of bird species. Most are not caged and walk freely along the path way. You can easily spend more than two hours here, especially if you take in a show or two. There is a restaurant that over looks the park and you can access it from inside as well as outside. My only complaint is that some the ostriches at the top part, are not in a comfortable place and need to be moved. They are native to my country. The highlight for me was the incredibly red coloured Ibis. Beautiful. Enjoy.
Truly great experience for kids and also adults. You are able to feed the birds and make pictures with them (for a fee). For foreigners: bring your work permit or Malaysian driving license as it will get you the local rate which saves you some bucks. You can buy drinks and snacks inside and there is 1 restaurant but with meals above RM 20 only. A MUST go for anyone. Make sure you see the bird show at either 12.30 pm or 4.30 pm.
Entrance fee for foreigners (may 2018): 67 RM. 0,5l water: 4 RM. The prices are raising. Not sure, if I would have gone here, when I would have known the price. Anyway, now we are here, it is 10:30 on Monday, and there are almost no other visitors. It is very quiet and relaxing. Because of all the poo on the ground it is better to wear closed shoes instead of flip flops.
The bird park is a beautiful place to see a whole lot of different birds. Many kind of exotic birds, big birds, small birds, fly birds and not flying birds also have. Beautiful park and gardens! Had a wonderful time despite the rainy weather. Definitely a must see! Great for all ages. Also very convenient to get to through the KL hop on hop off bus. Fish spa services were available near the cafe/restaurant area. Highly recommend. Our entire family had a wonderful time!
KL bird park is wonderful to visit, especially with kids. A truly amazing number of peacocks and other birds wander around freely, interacting with guests. The plentiful collection of birds is tremendous, although most verge on the less deadly side of the bird family. The walk through is strenuous and exhilarating, but especially tiring in humid weather, so make sure you have plenty of water with you. The side attractions are fun, but might be a bit expensive - 15 RM to get a picture taken with some of the tame birds on your own camera/phone, and 36 RM if you take the hard copy version. There is plentiful signage about the birds - but only if they are in their cages. Some of the free running birds made me sort of wish I had a guide who told us a bit about the birds we were seeing. Overall, definitely worth a visit with your kids.
Was a wonderful experience coming here. Birds are let to roam freely. They seem happy and safe. Such a great variety of species of birds. Had a pleasant walk through the bird park. Lots of people with their kids. Safe for people of all ages.
Great that the enclosure is free flight as you can get really close to the birds which is nice if you have children. It does take away from the wild factor though as the birds are quite used to humans so can seem a little tame. Bird show was alright, sound wasn't great so couldn't hear much of what the person was saying. Overall, would say it's worth at least one visit if you're in KL with children. Note that the aviaries are pram friendly except the restaurant where you'll have to climb a lot of stairs with it to get to the Cafe. Food there is very average but service staff were friendly.
Very good place to visit definitely. I went in with ikad rate so I feel worth. For foreigners not sure if this is really worth. If the tourist had visited Singapore birds park. This would not be necessary. That is very well kept park. But for locals really a good place for weekend with kids.
Normally I get quite sad at zoo type places because I don’t believe animals should be caged up, especially birds - but this place is clearly being used for a good cause. It’s a great source of education for young kids, it’s also helping to protect and breed endangered species. The bird show was a highlight, the majority of the birds in the show were parrots - still wild animals but arguably birds that are willing to be tamed- there was no sense of an animal being used improperly in this show like in other animal shows where you have tigers jumping through hoops etc. The majority of the enclosures are big with plenty of space for birds to fly, it’s really nice to be in contact with the birds for feeding etc - I just wish more people would have respect for the animals - they are still wild it’s not fair to try and shout at them to get their attention, feed them random snacks or upset them. Overall a good experience for half a day or so, get your timings right and try and catch all the feeding times.
It is one of the largest free-flight walk-in aviary. There are many species of birds, white cranes and peacocks are in large number. It's great to see them walking freely around you. Refreshments shop and washroom is available here. Kids would enjoy this park a lot. There are lot bird shows and feeding sessions organized. Don't miss out the bird show in Amphitheatre, the talking parrots to egale stunts are all amazing.
