the park used to be a good place for a morning and afternoon run, but now it's just another smoking area. lot's of cow's that lay poops on the paved road. there are kids with bikes loud, noisy and speeding dangerously watch out for them. security patrolling the park but did nothing to them. some paved road are dangerously slippery because of the cleaning staff too lazy to deal with dead leaves. few months ago at late night some drunk immigrants started a fight at nearby convenient store. throwing metal chair at each other. extremely noisy and disturbing. met some cute and friendly street dog a good place to walk your dogs.
Some works are still in progress. South part of the pedestrian/jogging trail are literally neglected, dirty, slippery pathways. Some roadside lights along the entrance are rusty. The Garden and plants around the main entrance however are doing way better than before. The place remains one almost public place down south where you have a decent length jogging track.
Lovely place and very quiet. Best thing was the Segway you can rent for 5$
Not completely built yet. Nothing to view. Only 2 statues. Only lord Vishnu and one of garud. The big one is still under construction and rest entire park is empty.
Great places, come afternoon and there would be many places that sells local food, good place to visit with your family too
beautiful Garuda Wisnu Statue. breathtaking. cant wait to see it fully completed
Interesting place. And it could be a good place for doing sport like running
This place is one of a kind places that you should go if you want to study more about Bali, whether the culture or history behind it. The place has so many great views, makes you want to take over hundreds pictures of it. The prices are worth. It was pleasant to visit this place.
Perfect place for balinese tradition and culture introduction, with great service and places, the place is huge. It will seem that this place will be overcrowded but it doesn't it was comfortable. For the place, the place is beautiful enough many main attraction here. An international class field, statue, amphitheater, restaurant, and bazzar. The only downside is the place maybe too expensive for some people with entrance nearing 100k (IDR) each person, and for those who hate walking this place isn't for you.
Come here 3 times... and always had lunch at jendela restaurant. Beautiful place...
If you want to learn about hinduism, and some bali cultural dance, you should come to this place. There’s a lot of freebies event held inside Garuda Wisnu Kencana area
I came here to attend the opening ceremony of the park. The park has not been completed yet and i think it needs another 6 months (till the end of year 2017) to complete. Even so, the facility has provided basic tourism needs such as cafes, coffee shops, souvenirs, restaurants, etc. Another thing to be taken into account is from the park main gate, people need to switch for shuttle to reach the main entrance. The parking lot is quite big and there are stores available nearby. The statue has completed.. but the building underneath has not yet available for tourist. Statue is very huge, so huge that i thought it is already close to the main gate. I think it may take 10 to 20 mins for average people to walk from entrance to the statue if the passage has completed. Once we enter the main entrance, we will be amazed with the cliff structure around the pathways, and inside there is a huge mainhall surrounded by the cliffs. Overall, i think this place should be on your bucket list in Bali once everything settled.
