A must see for any person visiting Las Vegas. The light show is set to music and happens at the top of every hour in the evening. It's definitely worth coming to see that. There are a lot of street acts and great people watching as well. This is where you go to find the famed oxygen bars. Also a lot of gift shops and several famous casinos.

This is definitely not for everyone but I really enjoyed it. It is a complete opposite of the Strip which is part of its charm. It is street performance at its most interesting where the public is all part of the cast. You'll see semi-naked men and women giving (okay selling) lap dances in the street, too many plastic pail drumming and other buskers to count, the requisite drunks and characters that have seen better days. Security was evident all over so i didn't feel threatened by any of this. The zip lining looked fun and the sound and lights over head added to the experience (it is cool that they featured several Las Vegas based bands).

This place is definitely an experience! This is my first time in Vegas and was told we had to check this place out. It was so much fun! We went at night and just walked around. There were tons of people and performers. The lights were greats and people watching was the best part! After walking for a while we stopped at Evel Pizza. The food was very affordable and good... But very greasy. I wish there was free parking nearby. $3/hour isn't terrible, just would have been nice to park for free. Definitely a go-to in Vegas!

This is it, the Experience! Lots of entertainment, easy access to casinos as well as bars, food, and scenery. The nightly light shows every 15 minutes is a blast and a good change of pace. Thanks canopy also gives some good shade on the hot summer days. Plenty of live entertainment and lots of people watching. There are some 'demonstrators' who push the envelope int terms of someone (or something) you want to pay a few bucks for a photo op. But hey, it's Vegas. A different vibe than the strip for sure but the recent upgrades keep me coming back. It's very convenient to have a few convenience stores for snacks and beverages when all you want is a diet soda or candy bar.

Always fun! There are always people out there doing funny stuff for tips or girls posing for pictures. There was an awesome magician last time I was out there. Know where to buy your drinks, some places are super expensive and others are dirt cheap. I always bring a pint of vodka with me. It's about 6 dollars off strip and about 15 there. Lots of fun things to do and live music almost all the time.

This is a MUST go to when you go to Vegas. Great entertainment. I could just sit all night there and people watch. It has great shops and has good places to eat at. Great live music. They have a zip line that goes from each end of the street.I think it would be fun! A lot if the times that I have been there, I have seen at least one famous person, which is pretty cool! I would recommend going during the night because you can see the lights and the true beauty this street holds. Make sure you have a few hours to spend here!

Something For Everyone... A Must When Visiting Vegas... Family-friendly Activities And Events. Its A Lot Of Fun And Thing To See, Do And Eat. A Large Variety Of Gourmet Food Trunks And Grand Stage Shows When I Visited. (Check Event's Calendars) Located In Lower Part Of The Strip Or The Furthest Away From The Airport.

we love this place. great live music every night. three stages so there's always something for everyone. there are lots of street performers--some good, some not so much, some wearing next to nothing so don't bring the kids. the bartenders put on a great show too. and there are plenty of gift shops and casinos, of course.

It's definitely a lively place, and the overhead display is awesome. However there's a lot of smoking, crowds, and obviously drinking. If you're not comfortable with half-naked, or mostly-naked, guys and gals then definitely don't pass through here. A few cool street performers and artists, but a lot of pan handlers also hang around there. Great place for a mini "Sin City" experience; smoky casinos, drunk people, and overpriced goods, but with colorful characters that make it somewhat worthwhile.

Had a great time here. So much to see and so much to do. They had a Dune Buggy event going on at the time we visited. So it was extra crowded. The weather was nice and cool so we were able to stay outside and enjoy the surroundings. Not the best place for kids if you have them with you. Payed 12 dollars for parking which wasn't bad. Lots of security to watch your vehicle. Ate at the Heart attack grill. My advice is eat the regular burger. It's a half pound and more than enough. If you don't eat all your food they will take you and spank you.

Awesome place! You will see all walks of life. If you don't like seeing skin, skimpy dressed people, then this is not the place for you. People watching is great, food and drinks are cheaper. Live music is great I counted 4 different stages! It is shaded and the great casinos you just can't beat! They are beautiful! So going into the Golden Nugget was just fantastic walking around! I highly recommend this place, so much to do and so little time, you will need a second trip at least!

Obviously lots to see, wear comfortable shoes..I think I prefer Fremont Street experience though. As stated, while I enjoyed the strip and walked almost the entire strip up and down in it's entirety, I think I enjoyed my time more on Fremont Street only because the strip essentially is a duplication of different hotels/casinos one after another. Lively experience, but would be better for those coming to have an itinerary or plan of places to go rather than just walking it for the hell of it. Very clean, and I felt safe everywhere on the strip.

Been a long time since I visited downtown Vegas and boy how has it changed. Incredible energetic crowd on an average Tuesday night in April. The street performers and live music were great, at least some of the street performers. If you want to drink, there are numerous bars to choose from but between the crowd and performers, it is not necessary to enjoy the entertainment. Although, It doesn't hurt either

Oh it's the ultimate party place in Vegas. I haven't seen something so vibrant. It is different from the strip. The place isn't classy as the strip but is full of life. You will see colors of every kind, music played at every corner, weird clothes and will also find comparatively cheaper but good food. I was sceptical on my way to Fremont as you have to travel through darker and shady roads but once you reach there you would love it.

I've been here several times, each visit brings something different. I especially enjoy the live music. First Friday at the Beauty Bar is awesome for queer folks. Any type of music you like can think of you can hear down there. Any type of food you want, you'll find. Main Street Station has an excellent breakfast buffet within walking distance. Don't get caught up by the souvenir shops, you will find more original tokens of your stay here away from the strip. Listen grandma, those t-shirts are played out, take those kids something different!

I loved this place!! It’s what Vegas use to be, endless neon lights crammed together all fighting for your attention. Free open air entertainment, drinking and eating while walking around, casinos in the old Vegas style etc. I would highly recommend visiting, it has endless merchandise and restaurants. Quite a variety of places to go to. It’s great to see really how Vegas was, and compare it to the vastness of the strip now. The zip line through the top of the street also looked fun. Will be coming back here for sure

First point to note, amazing. Its a great place to get a drink, some food and gamble as you can move from place to place easily. There are nightly music and light shows every hour and while we were visiting, 2-3 bands playing so great to just grab a beer and relax while people watching and listening to great music. Keep your wits about you during busy times if travelling with children or in a group as you can get separately easily.
Alice Massoglia | May 23, 2018
Absolutely mind-blowing! Shops and kiosks offering every variety of merchandise. Restaurants and casinos open right out to the area and there's even a mini-bar right in the open. Street performances of many types, from jugglers to contortionists to musicians and Chippendale models. The zip line overhead is fascinating. There's so much energy! Noisy, rowdy energy. They've taken everything that Vegas is reputed to be and concentrated it into one lively experience.

Lots of things to do, the zip line is fun. The casinos have been upgraded, golden nugget has the best pool I think. Foods reasonable, good bars. People entertaining while you walk down the street. The storage container place is worth checking out. The tacos outside the big zip line are delicious and only 2 bucks. The nerd is a good bar if you're into gaming. Can play super smash and drink while you are there. Plus bowling is free. Check it out great place to visit.

Excellent lighting show. Several stages where music groups play, attended the celebration for the 2017 Las Vegas Knights. Late night Party strip with lots of shops, selling merchandise, drinks, and zip line tickets. This is an adult environment, many half dressed street performers (male and female). if you're staying downtown, you will enjoy this small section off the Las Vegas strip. just don't ask the guy with the "beer fund" sign "where's the get a job fund?" Also here's a helpful tip carry around one of those free tickets to a show and when a scalper approaches you just tell them you already have one and they will leave you alone.

I love this place for a different experience every time!! Great live music and shows through out week and certain summer days. I always have a great time and I never plan the experience. We got to see Weezer live which is an awesome rock band! Tried the zip line and loved it. No line around the cold Holiday season. Highly recommend the experience!

As a local, I prefer Fremont over the strip. Though, lately it has been becoming more and more commercial and overpriced. I love old Vegas, which is why I loved Fremont, but a couple of the older, nostalgic places have closed to make way for larger corporation ran casinos. I loved visiting La Bayou for the huge drink for $18 (that's with an extra shot) and playing the LAST coin operated slot machines in the city. But alas, that's been closed to become an expansion of the D casino. Fremont is fun and a must see which is why I gave it 4 stars. But cheap drinks and cheap food will no longer happen here.

Love love love the Fremont experience. Be sure and have your camera with you because it’s like no other experience in Vegas. This is the old part of Vegas and there is a several block long dome of lights. What’s really fun is watching the zip line folks zip all the way through the ceiling area. They look like they’re flying and they definitely look like they’re having fun. Had I not been recovering from a motor vehicle accident I definitely would have wanted that experience for myself. The people that you see they’re showing their talents off and making and living is probably the most interesting part of the atmosphere. That and the light show so have your camera ready and really really enjoy yourself.

This is my new favorite part of Vegas. Fremont Street was a solid couple blocks of entertainment and performers. Make sure to have some singles on you and it's worth it to be there after 7:30pm when they turn on the canopy lights. The temperature inside the canopy is very tolerable and there are a good 5 live bands during the evening. There are multiple bars and casinos along the street and there are lots of decent priced food deals. Alcohol felt cheaper here than on the strip to me. I didn't compare exact bills. The general feel of Fremont Street is that it's one big party and everyone is having a great time.

All I can say is WOW!!! Fremont is a new place with old flair. So happy they still use mostly incandescent lights and not led. Led on the strip look austere and sterile. Loved the lighted awning experience and white castle burgers. Street entertainers and cheap food make it. Keep going way past the awning if you dare for a fire blowing praying mantis and 10.95 prime rib 24 7. Sketchy and a little scary down there. Seedy clubs and ancient casinos. Very cool, if you survive.

If you can pull yourself away from the strip for a few hours, this is a must - just bring an appetite and don't start drinking until you get there! Shopping/food/drink options galore is not exactly a groundbreaking concept, but the presentation here is absolutely dizzying. Random concerts, interesting museums, extremely well-themed bars, weighing yourself before you stuff your face, and you can even zipline through all the madness as well if you'd like. So many relics of old Las Vegas to discover, so many unique corners, and let's not forget the human carnival that comes with it all. Worth the trip. You'll see quite a lot and it won't take long at all.
