Levisham railway station is a station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and serves the village of Levisham in the North York Moors National Park, North Yorkshire, England. Holiday accommodation is available in the form of a camping coach.
Well set out for a country station, staff friendly and approachable. Good stop off point for watching steam engines and letting the world go by 😁😁😁😁
Nice little station in the middle of a long valley. There is a weighbridge tea hut open for refreshments on weekends and special events. Ideal station for walking.
Levisham station is an absolute gem. We thoroughly enjoy our visits there and have loved watching the steam trains come through. The only improvement they could make is in the tea stall. Selling tea made of cheap bags does not make one want to buy another cuppa. Increase the price slightly and sell Yorkshire Tea, Typhoo or PG Tips.
What a wonderful little station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. This station is well kept and looked after by volunteers and is a credit to them. There is plenty of car parking space and refreshments to enjoy. We spent 3 hours there just admiring the views and watching the steam engines going by. There is also a station house and a camping coach which are available to rent out. The area is great for those who want to walk or just relax on the station. Well worth a visit.
What a fabulous little village especially with the snow and pavement cracking or should I say snow melting sun. 7th feb 2018
Magical old station in remote location. They don't get much better than this.
Great coffee ☕, great cake and excellent vfm. Add to that, the bonus of getting up close and personal with one of the NYMR engines! ☺
Step back in time at this lovely quaint station on the north York moors steam railway. It's a hidden gem . Great area for walking and cycling also
First stop on the North Yorkshire moors railway after leaving Pickering. The station can also be reached by road, a picturesque couple of miles drive from Levisham village itself, there is a car park at the station. Its nice to turn left out of the station and walk along the road which follows the railway line through woodland. The road is very quiet and has hardly any traffic. Of course its nice just to sit on the platform waiting for the next train!
