The Ansembourg Museum (Musée d'Ansembourg) is a museum in the Belgian city of Liège. It is housed in the hôtel d'Ansembourg on Féronstrée in the historic heart of the city.
Its collections originated as part of those of the Institut archéologique liégeois (IAL), founded on 4 April 1850. Its archaeological and decorative arts collections were displayed in the Prince-Bishops' Palace, then in the university library, then in l'Émulation (the headquarters of the Société libre d'émulation, a literary, artistic and scientific society) and finally in a gallery solely devoted to the IAL's collections in one of the wings of the Palace on 12 October 1874.

Excellent museum showing the history of Liege and the surrounding region. There's general information in English but the item descriptions are in French. Nevertheless the museum has a cool and extensive collection from all periods, from prehistory to WW2 weaponry.

Here's the review; rating 10 (perfect) to 1 (bad). Location and old buildlings: 8 Remodelling of the monumental buildings: 7 Collection: 7 Personel: 6 Remodellling of monuments into one complex: 3 Exhibition design: 1 Routing in the museum: -10. The combination of several museums and (very) different collections into one complex of existing buildings has turned out unfruitful. If you want to get lost in Liege go here!.

My wife & I are visitors. We are glad we visited the museum. We have found it very interesting & worth visiting if you happen to be in Liège. You can go there just for a coffee.
