£10 an adult to walk around and read one person's insane love of the SAS, Nazi and Idol worship. Seriously folks, if you're interested in the history of the area avoid this like the plague. It's more like an old man who enjoys the Mail a bit too much.
Bursting with real life facts.. The holocaust theme is so in depth... So the faint hearted do not be offended.. A truly fantastic private collection
Very very unfriendly staff! Then I asked nicely if I could use the restroom after I found out I don't want to visit the "museum" or whatever it should be but was rejected. Thank you for nothing!
A very eclectic mix of collections. A truly fantastic place that is very thought provoking. It is also one of these attractions that you could visit several times and always see something new. My only criticism is the collection of items is so large you can see that they have struggled to fit it all in, leading to the different categories getting a bit jumbled. Overall fantastic though and great value for money..... especially considering the tourist board and local councils really did not want it open!!
Definitely worth a visit.. could spend hours there 😁
Lovely setting, its a mishmash of everything. Very cluttered and a ton load of newspaper clippings on the walls. Worth a look but no need for all the warnings ..
Museum of the dark past with a touch of modern celebrities. Not really suitable for children as they will get nightmares. Also it's cash only. Could do with a little café. Great experience
Fascinating place. Remember people this stuff happened!
Interesting place went for the ghost night. Artifacts very unusual.
This place is just bizarre. There's a lot of quirky stuff here but be warned there are some highly graphic images of recent torture. There is no intelligible educational narrative and instead it's just claustrophic with mismatched historical items, lifesize pop culture figurines and articles about celebrity scandal everywhere (including on the ceiling). There is one room set aside with additional warning- it's just celebrity nudity which by the time you get that far into the jail is totally blasé. All in all, worth a visit to see it, but not for the faint of heart and not for your typical museum experience. I absolutely wouldn't recommend kids go based on the extremely graphic images. There are plenty of warnings outside and yet still we saw plenty of kids in there..
