Superb! A beautiful building in lovely warm red sandstone, clean and uncluttered inside with much to see and absorb. See the amazing hanging font! Enjoy the rich sounds of the church organ and surround yourself with the warmth of the choir. Add to this approachable and helpful volunteer staff and a decent shop and cafe. Oh, and plentiful cheap parking. Do it, you will thank yourselves for the experience.

This is a stunning example of modern cathedral architecture in our modern times. Not because it's actually in a modern style, rather because it is so well decorated and so very very large! Going up to the top of the tower is an experience not to be missed, you have to climb through the bell tower. Lots of facilities for visitors. Frequent events, many secular and entertaining.

Beautiful architecture, but requires some restoration and upkeep. The stained glass is a real feature of this cathedral. The walk up to the cathedral has a decent incline so you may want to keep that in mind if you aren't particularly fit or have health problems as you will probably need to drive up to its entrance.

How does one rate a visit to a place of worship? A 1-5 star rating doesn't really apply. However, if you are visiting Liverpool you must make a visit to this Cathedral. Immense in size and scale, it is the 8th largest in the world and ahead of St. Paul's cathedral on that measure. Although the external surface of sandstone is plain in texture and to look at, the inside is altogether different. Beautiful stain glass windows in grand scale, an ornate alter and absolutely huge organ are awe inspiring. We visited on a Sunday and services are running throughout the day which make the experience even richer. Lastly the on site café serves hearty and tasty local dishes ensuring that long distance visitors like me are well fed before the long journey home.

No the prettiest building from the outside, but once inside it is without doubt one of the most beautiful buildings it's ever been my pleasure to visit. The highlight has to be the Lady Chapel which is a true hidden gem. To top off a wonderful experience is the cost, it's absolutely free to enter. If you're in Liverpool make sure you make time for a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely experience. My 7 year old followed the mouse animal trail and saw alot of details we otherwise would not have noted. We took the tower experience. Was wonderful. But unfortunately at still the full price cost and part of the experience was closed due to future refurbishment and no video shown I felt a little let down and ripped off :-(...

This is an unique place, one of the largest cathedral of the worlds which you can visit for free! The atmosphere is magical, very spiritual and rich of feelings. Really worth a visit when going to Liverpool. Further, have a look around the area and you'll find a tiny bit precious Chinatown!

A lovely place to visit. If I could give any advice, go up to the top. From there you've a lovely panoramic view, from where you can see as far as Wales on a clear day. It's well worth the money to go up there. For those scared of heights, don't look over the side on the way up. Probably the most impressive building in Liverpool.

A place to feel humbled and charged with the spirit all at the same time. Irrespective of your level of faith, it's a totally amazing place to visit the is awe inspiring from every angle. And the best place to see our wonderful city of Liverpool is from the top of the tower.

They're trying to bring the 21st century into Christianity and they're doing it well. With bright stain glass windows keeping it traditional and pink neon lights with the words from the Bible, it's an interesting mix! The cafe is lovely and has some pretty outside seating. There's a shop to buy your tat where proceeds go to supporting the church. On the whole, it's vast, eccentric and makes a lasting impression. Definitely worth a visit

An astounding building. It has some really interesting liverpool touches housed in here. The tour up the tower is really work a trip if you don't mind heights. The views from the top are fantastic. They had a traveling art exhibition of the moon housed there which was really interesting

Always an amazing place to visit but especially when they have an exhibition on. Today we got up close to the moon. Absolutely incredible. Staff are always friendly and ready to answer any questions.

Attending the sunset tower tour. Amazing views across the city and the river 500 meters up. Well worth the price of the ticket. Enjoyed looking at the inner workings of the cathedral and how the bell tower works.

Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral, built between 1904 and 1978 is incredibly impressive. It is the largest cathedral in the UK and fifth largest in the world. The internal space of the cathedral is peaceful but very imposing. It has a distinct Liverpool character, a mix of traditional and new, with several smaller chapels and an HMS Liverpool memorial. There is also a small cafe and gift shop. Services are held regularly, and details of these can be found online. Entry is free, but certain elements inside are not. These include the tower tour and access to the bridge across the nave.

Lovely building. Looks even better, since it's renovation. Great place to look at the excellent craftsmanship and architecture. Car park is a little tight in places . Priced at £4 And the cafe is convenient.
