Nice day out. Lots of animals animals to see. The penguin parade is brilliant, so try and catch that. Not to busy during the week so quite relaxing. You can can go into the Lima enclosure and get to see then close up.
Me and my husband took part in zoo keeper for the day. We had the best time, if your on the fence to booking this just do it! An absolute brilliant experience. The zoo keeper Ange was so friendly and knowledgeable. We got up close to so many animals as you can see from my pictures. We're not local to Wales but will definitely be coming back to do this again. Can not stress how much of a brilliant day this was 😁
Lovely zoo. Plenty of variety and animals to see along. Kids loved exploring the different paths and enclosures. The variety and frequency of the talks/shows was good and kept the day varied - the sea lion feeding/training was our favourite.
The zoo is in a very picturesque setting with magnificent views, the woodland walks are lovely and the facilities and staff are great too. The animals all have very nice enclosures and there is a great variety from ducks and chickens to alligators, tigers and flamingoes. The chimpanzee encounter is particularly impressive getting to see the animals so close, everything seems very close actually which is great. Amazing value for money, would absolutely come back. My only criticism is that it's not the easiest place to take a pram but there are specific pram routes marked on the map.
Our family absolutely loved it here. The conservation work they do is so important and worthwhile. The zoo are a charity and are crowd funding for new enclosures for some of the animals I was particularly taken with the snow leopards. Not only do they do conservation for the animals but the gardens are immaculate. I really enjoyed exploring around the hills although might be a good work out for those with push chairs. We had lunch here too which was fine. Very nice ice creams to follow. Keep up the good work.
Nice small zoo with fantastic views down towards the sea. Don't expect to spend a whole day here but penguin parade is well worth it and it's little different to your standard zoos. Some of the enclosures are quite small, especially for the large birds.
Otters and chimps put on a show. Chimp show is more of just looking at the chimps through a window at set times with a staff member chatting about them. They feed the chimps treats after and that's the fun part with all the noise and squabbling. Tiger was in doors and couldn't be seen in the dark room. The zoo is worth a look. I'm not giving full stars as I don't think the entrance fee is worth it.
Brilliant variety of animals for it's insanely cheap prices, lots of information about the animals in the encounter. Would recommend this over Chester Zoo if you're looking for a cheap day out!! Just hard to get to the place.
Nice enough day out... Although the male manager who ran the cafe needs some lessons in not being rude to staff in front of customers. Kids will love the penguin walk... But I'd probably go to Chester zoo instead next time
Really good get to see all the animals up close and there is talks about them all the time. It is set on a large mountain and some of the animals are in areas up and down hill. A really good day out. Be sure to get there early on peak days because there carpets parks aren't very big.
What a lovely little Zoo. Lots to look at with well knowledgeable staff, we really enjoyed the penguin feeding as they are let out of their enclosure and walked around in an roped off area for feeding making the whole experience much more pleasant. Well worth a visit and value for money.
A nice, small park with lots of different animals to see. Especially loved the 'shows' that ran throughout the day! They were really educational and good for all ages!

Enjoyable days out My grandchildren and myself have season passes so regularly visit. The older grandchildren enjoy the quizzes and like finding the clues. The younger ones enjoy the animals and love running about. Having a child in a buggy is ñot easy and i am glad on last occasion the youngest managed to get herself around despite the deep steps
Lovely day out, lots of different animals to see and the zoo grounds make for a nice walk. The animal displays are very entertaining and you can get up close and personal. In need of a refurbishment in some areas but that doesn't really let it down too much
Turned up on a freezing cold day not expecting much to be honest, and stayed 5 hours. Well worth a visit. Nicely laid out , fantastic views.reasonably priced cafe....and the animals are cool too.....If im up this way again on a sunny day will go first thing, take a picnic and stay all day.
A nice if a little dated zoo. They are looking to update many animals housing as they aren't you to a modern zoos standards. A decent variety of animals and shows. It's brilliantly set on the hillside. You can see all the way to Conwy castle and to the top of the Great Orme.
Not too bad, but when I compare it to a similarly priced safari park it doesn't seem to add up. The animals are beautiful but as you would expect with a zoo they are kept in quite small confinement, which can be difficult to see. Two children 6 and 2 loved it but as an adult I felt we only had at maximum an hour and a half of activities/shows. Food was very expensive, I recommend bringing your own.
Had a fantastic time here with the family, just be prepared to walk up a few hills that can be quite steep. Animals are very well looked after and admission isn't too bad and well worth the price. Ample parking and great bird shows.
Fabulous place. I recommend driving there or getting a taxi. It's not called mountain zoo for nothing. I walked and it's a very steep road up. The zoo is amazing and staff lovely. Chester zoo is good too but I'd rather come here any day.
