Strumble Head Lighthouse stands on Ynys Meicel (from Welsh: St. Michael's Island), also known as Strumble Head, a rocky island at the northwest corner of Pencaer area, five miles west of the town of Fishguard, in northern Pembrokeshire, Wales.
The present lighthouse was erected in 1908, but the first proposal to build a lighthouse here was made in 1825 by Trinity House. The lighthouse replaces a light-vessel previously moored in the south of Cardigan Bay. The lighthouse is similar in construction to Skokholm Lighthouse and is among the last lighthouses to be built in Britain.

Best sunset in Pembrokeshire! At the very north of the county this cliff-line offers views north and west over the ocean from which you can see clear sunsets accompanied by the pulsating light of Strumble Head lighthouse. Must visit for anybody in the north county.

Free parking, a good area to walk and see some potential wildlife. You can't go to the lighthouse but the views are excellent and it's a great place to visit. It gets very windy, so bring a jacket.

Beautiful located lighthouse on the edge of Wales. Worth a visit. And when you're here, take a walk along the beautiful walking trail and enjoy the amazing scenery. Parking place available.

Very beautiful bleak place. It was overcast and windy when we were there but I was still glad we went. In the summer it must be a great place to view sea creatures

I'm somewhat biased as I love lighthouses, but if you're into photography or just like lighthouses it's a cool place to come and see. Again, really nice views especially later on in the evening. Warning - the road to get here is really narrow and there are really strong winds so be careful not to drive too fast!
