What an experience. The staff were very efficient and friendly and although the queues were long we did not have to wait long. Elderly and disabled people were assisted and given preferential treatment which was good to see. The security and maintenance teams really impressed me and I felt extremely safe in my bubble. Stunning views and photos to treasure our memories were made available shortly after. A great overall experience. Thank you

A must visit attraction in London. The view is simply amazing. This place is normally crowded. It is advisable to go for express line if you are traveling with young kids and seniors or get tickets online is recommended because there is approx waiting time is 1 hour. Good safety measures. The best part is although it's a crowded place but very limited people go inside capsule. You have ample of space and time to enjoy the view. Keep it up.

Well maintained and efficiently managed. There are two kinds of tickets available, the standard one and a fast track ticket. The standard line has a waiting time of approximately 20 min on weekends, while fast track queues tend to clear in 5 min. View is best in the evening just before it gets dark. Rain on the outside of your capsule can seriously ruin your experience of viewing and specially any photographs you take from inside the capsule. So avoid a ride immediately after a shower.

Beautiful view of London. One rotation lasts for about half an hour. Recommended to go when sunset starts, maybe earlier to be on the top when sunset happens. Worth every penny. Lot's of street performers next to it. We bought tickets in advance. We combined three London attraction and saved a lot of pounds. Would have past much more expense if we were to buys each ticket separately.

Great experience. A Must-see and do while visiting London, at least 1 time. Since it was extremely crowded when we visited, ticket line (or queue) took about 1 hour (late December). Actual line to get into ride took about 30 minutes, not bad. Ride is slow (takes 30 minutes for the whole ride), therefore, even if you suffer from motion sickness, it should not affect you. We were about 15 people in one pod, with enough room to move around, see the city and take pics from different angles. Make sure you stop by the picture/gift shop once you get off the pod: your pictures will be ready in a minute, well worth the price.

Visit date: 27 March 2018. Having booked online, which was relatively easy, we arrived in plenty of time for our allotted time slot. We were told that as queues were not particularly big, we were free to join the queue at any time. The queue moved quickly and smoothly and we got through security checks with friendly staff, with no issues. The ride itself was enjoyable. There is plenty of room in each pod to move around with a number of interactive screens to explain what everything was that you can see on your trip. Views were really good and I suspect would be even better on a sunny day. The ride was enjoyed by adults and kids alike in our group. We used a voucher from cereal boxes to get a free adult ride with a child ticket so 3 of us rode the eye for under £50.

This is a must visit site. It doesn't seem to be as tall as the Shard, but it's on the riverbank which gives you an unmatched kind of view. You can book tickets in slots of 15 minutes, and one trip on the eye takes 30 minutes or so. Since tickets are booked in slots, the lines never get too long at any point of time. You don't necessarily have to teach on the exact minute, reaching some 10 minutes earlier or so works fine, or so it did for me, I didn't try earlier. It seems to be not very busy on weekdays and, but can be busy enough on weekends for tickets to be booked an hour or two in advance. There's also m-Tickets, which is nice. In case you get here too early, the surrounding area is really nice to just roam about it, and the whole place is really close to the Parliament Square, Big Ben, etc.

The London eye is an icon for the city visible for miles around....it looks great at distance... fantastic close up and amazing at night when it is all lit up with different colours...I have ridden on the eye several times and the views are spectacular..if a little short lived...I even did a charity dance in the pods one year whilst it was going round. Access is good but ques can get very long and it is expensive. A good idea is to book a London package which includes the eye. Remember there is a great park under it and all the entertainment of the south bank so you can still enjoy the eye even without actually going on it !

Even if you don’t take a ride on the ferris wheel, just seeing and being near this landmark is wonderful. That’s how beautiful the London Eye is. It’s even more beautiful at night. From both ground level and on the ride you can get amazing panoramic views of London and it’s absolutely breathtaking how pretty the city is. I had to wait a while to get on the ride but the experience was definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend checking this place out, even if you don’t go on the ride. The experience is life-changing.

I went after 6:30 on Sunday and there was no line. There wind up being only four people in my pod. It was a lovely ride with amazing views! The staff are also really sweet and energetic. It’s very expensive, but I think I would recommend it just for the impressive experience. Make sure you look at the other pods for a moment as you are reaching the top—it’s surreal! My only real complete is that it was a really quick ride. I was told it would be 20 minutes to a half hour but it was just over 15, perhaps because there was no line to delay things? I’m unsure. I’ll add that I was terrified of this ride. Ferris wheels have been a difficult thing in the past. I want to encourage anyone else with a fear to give it a try. The pods barely move and once you’re up top it’s easy to forget that you’re on a Ferris wheel at all.

One of the best ways to see the city. Buy the fast pass before you go and you’ll fly through the ticket line and the 4D experience and the line for the eye itself. Amazing views and great staff with tons of info. The gift shop has some super unique and fun items as well. Close to the aquarium which is discounted if you buy tickets at the eye for it. Ride takes about 30 minutes to go all the way around once. Go on a slightly overcast day for amazing pictures and also cooler temps.

You just have to do it at least once. Do it on a clear day. When it opened decades ago the skyline was somewhat different. It's a 45 Mon round trip and the views are the best vantage point for historic London. I got to see lot of construction buildings and nearside view is pretty averaged due to industrial look of some buildings nearby. I enjoyed it but wouldn't want to do it again as the queues and prices only justify it for once

I've now been on this 3 times and seen the views in 3 different settings, daytime, sunset and night time. Best time for me is sunset and night time. Although it moves very slowly the queue to get on goes down very quickly. I don't believe it's worth buying fast track tickets unless you are in a real big hurry. The pods are still in very good condition. Be warned there's no toilets on the pods as far as I know and you enter the pod with others and no guide, unless you're in a massive group. It's best to move around the pod so you can get views from all angles, plus it gives others a chance to see and take photos of what you've just seen. All in all from waiting to getting and and going round its about an hour or just which I didn't think was too bad.

Nice View, Quick access with skip the line. Could see all the big land marks. Don't bother with their photo shot on the ride, it is very expensive for a tiny photo.. Loved this ride. I would do it again but I would again purchase the skip the line ticket. Best way to go.

A nice and relaxing attraction that offers a breathtaking panoramic view of London. We took our two young children and they both enjoyed the 30-minute ride and view. I do, however, find the attraction a bit expensive considering the lack of "activity" (other than sightseeing). Also, having to share the capsule with 20+ other people makes for a very warm enclosed space. We went on a hot day and found the capsule really warm - we could barely feel the air conditioning.

I went on a week day and there was no queue. There wind up being only four people in my pod. It was a lovely ride with amazing views! The staff are also really sweet and energetic. It’s very expensive, but I think I would recommend it just for the impressive experience. Make sure you look at the other pods for a moment as you are reaching the top—it’s surreal! We had the champagne experience so when we got on the London eye we popped open a bottle and let the celebrations begin. It was good because the sun was out and you could see the whole of London. One of the best ways to see the city. Buy the fast pass before you go and you’ll fly through the ticket line and the 4D experience and the line for the eye itself. I went here with my fiancee for her birthday and it was amazing. If you can, I would recommend the VIP experience. We had access to a private lounge while we waited and a glass of champagne (we chose champagne). Your host will get you when it's time and they will direct you and help you in every way possible. Our host was amazing and was the nicest person! The views are unreal and being able to enjoy a cocktail while taking in the views was just a bonus!

London Eye is worth visiting once. The capsule is big enough for all to move around freely to enjoy the views while taking some nice photos. It moves very slowly so you would not feel anything exciting except that you keep going high as your capsule rises above and comes down. If you are taking pictures all the time you might miss enjoying the ride.

Great view of famous London sites like Westminster and Big Ben (even if it was under construction when I went). It's a pretty long ride, about half an hour, and the non fast track line took us about 20 minutes to get through. Well worth it for the views! Go at sunset for added effect.
Michelle Priester | Aug. 8, 2018
We enjoyed the 4D experience highlighting the eye while in line. The line moved very fast which was great. We did not feel it was too long. Being on the eye itself is wonderful. You can see an aerial view of the whole city of London in every direction. It makes the city seem more friendly and accessible from this perspective. You can take some cool photos as you have enough time to see everything on your ride.

The queue was very long but it was just an illusion, you really are fast at the entrance. Before going on the London Eye you could buy food and ice at the machine, which wasn't that expensive at all. Besides you didn't had to take pictures because they took a picture of you in front of a green screen and added a magnificent background, and also a picture when u are in the wheel, these u can buy for £20 at the end of your ride, it comes with a cute book. The ride was awesome you could see a lot of famous sights. You had much space in it wasn't crowded at all and u didn't have to fear that you can't take your own pictures because the ride is so long everybody gets there perfect shoot.

Visiting London Eye has been on my bucket list for a long time, and for a good reason! It’s amazing. I don’t know how it feels in summer, check if it’s not too hot in the cabins. Yet in November the weather was lovely and I managed to see one of the best sunsets in my life. The view from London Eye is amazing, and if you manage to catch good weather, you’ll be very lucky. I didn’t buy tickets online, it took up to 30 minutes to stay in line and buy tickets. I wanted to make sure the sunset is great and I’m good with the timing. I’ve heard there are option to rent the whole cabin and have an afternoon tea there or organize some event like a proposal or a diner, yet I haven’t explored this option. Remember to move around when the London Eye is moving to make photos and enjoy a great view. The best thing about it — it feels like a part of London. It can be seen from distance and it doesn’t ruin the skyline.

The week we were there the weather was very good so we enjoyed the view. It is crowded very much but staff was good and supportive. Though they have suggested to come half hours before your appointment but it is totally depends on what season you are there. So I would suggest to go 1 hr before if you are going in the evening. It was fantastic experience.

We went to this because our kids were part of our holiday planning and they wanted to do it and they did enjoy it. If it was just myself and my partner, we would not have wasted time and money. The pods are dirty on the outside so pictures had a filmy look to them. The queue was incredibly long even though we got tickets in advance. Overall the entire area on this side of the Thames is worth avoiding all together.
