Granary Square is a large open space in the London Borough of Camden. Comparable in size to Trafalgar Square, it is part of the larger King's Cross Central development. It has been cited as an example of a privately owned public space in London. The new Central Saint Martins complex is adjacent. Visitor attractions in the square include Queer Britain, the UK's first dedicated museum of LGBT history and culture.
The square incorporates a fountain consisting of 1,080 individual jets rising from the flush paved surface of the plaza. Each jet has its own independently controlled pump and multi-color illumination. As of March 2015, visitors to the square can interact with the fountains to play a mobile version of the Snake game.

It’s a nice public square in front of central saint martins university, there are some interesting shops and bars located near by and a skittering if street food vendors depending on when you visit. The square itself in pleasant with hundreds of small fountains coming up through the paving. I particularly like the tiered steps/seating area on the edge of the canal.

Lovely square in the heart (ish) of London, 3min walk from kings cross station. Although bound to be packed with people, the water fountains and canal have a air of tranquility. There are benches for you just to watch the world go by. I get the sense this place will only increase with traffic so enjoy it while it's quiet. Also lovely places to eat around too ...so worth a visit.

Good food and a fair wine list. Nice interior but this place benefits from a very good terrace at the front which is covered helping protect from the wind but due to its position - South facing - the sun still shines. Service is friendly and fairly good.

Regeneration at its best. A lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Some great shoes, cafes and restaurants and the canal to walk along. Just a five minute walk from Kings Cross, it's so worth a visit!

A great place to bring children on warm summer days.. The street fountains on the square throw vertical jets of water in the air. Great to run around if you are aged 4.

Love this area. Not overpopulated yet by tourist yet but definitely a cool and quaint pocket in town. Enjoy before the condo's finish and the market completes its construction. Fun for all, the water fountains are fantastic for the little ones. Always something going on with through events, music or art shows. Definitely worth while enjoying on a stroll through the beautiful architecture or relaxing on the staircase lawn. Definitely a cool spot

Fantastic mix of architectural styles. Victorian renovations, stunning new designs and industrial references. Smart shopping opportunities and great choice of restaurants and a street food market. Easy access from Kings cross and St Pancras stations. Fun water play area for families. You can meet up with friends or family and spend the whole day there.

One of the best new places in London - Granary sq is always full of life! Fountains are always fun, the square is full of children and art students - there’s plenty of restaurants around. Can’t wait for the coal drops to open. It should be even more fun :) Ps. If you’re lucky, you might see a helicopter landing. I witnessed a training landing once. It was pretty spectacular.

Freaking love this place. The fountain is AWESOME and a fantastic place to bring kids. There are always new food trucks rotating through, and other great food in the area. I'm particularly partial to Caravan. Such a good place to people watch particularly all the students from the fashion school.

On a sunny day, this is a lovely place to kill some time. Fountains are lovely, relaxed atmosphere and two nearby markets (one open, one covered) dedicated to providing meals, snacks and drinks. Especially if you have a long wait between trains, don't spend it in Kings Cross Station - walk 10 minutes up here and actually enjoy your time.
