Wonderful place for a late afternoon walk and enjoy the cool air and the surrounding as the sun sets. There's also a beautiful pond in the middle of the garden or park. Beautiful swans and ducks swimming around. The park can be quite busy nearing the evening with lots of people coming out for a light jog. It's also a place where kids can enjoy feeding the swans and ducks. Definitely a nice place to visit in London. :)

I really enjoyed the Kensington Palace tour. It offered a realistic glimpse into how the royals lived and provided a lot of historical information. Make sure to grab one of the information books as you enter each room to get detailed information on the history of the room’s use and the stories behind each piece of artwork on display. The Diana: Her Fashion Story exhibition included with the entrance fee is a wonderful display of some of Diana’s most famous outfits. See how many you recognize! We purchased our tickets in advance from Viatour, which provided no discount but at least saved us from waiting in the ticket line (which was relatively short anyway). Overall, this is a great tour that takes around 2 hours to complete (not including roaming through the gardens) and I would definitely recommend it!

We went to see the Diana dresses but the palace was a real bonus. I especially enjoyed the Victoria story as told by an explainer I the apartment where she grew up. I had to do a little heel click on the spot she did when she became queen. Well worth a visit if you are near even if the dresses aren't there to entertain your wife. All good

It was my first visit inside the palace and I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Kensington palace obviously focusses on the main draws of the palace, Victoria and Diana with several large areas dedicated to the two royals. It's a surprisingly personal look into everyday life of the young princess Victoria and her suitor Albert and gives a glimpse into their lives. Aside from the two main people, it also covers some of the history of the palace and some of the lesser known residents and how the palace was used by the royals. The gardens are beautiful and its definitely something that the whole family can enjoy. There are several places for refreshments around the palace too if required.

I visited the Palace on Friday with my Mum and sister. The grounds were beautiful as was the inside of the Palace, we particularly liked the Kings Apartments because a member of staff (Adam) talked about these rooms, the displays and the views with such enthusiasm ... it made our day. It was lovely to see Dianna's dresses and beautiful photos ... very nicely done. We will visit again in the summer.

Amazing place full of excellent royal history. I really enjoyed a day out in this perfect place. I appreciate it to everyone who is interested about the history especially about the history of Her Majesty Queen Victoria and Princess Diana. I took many amazing photos outside the Palace. The Sunken gardens were and still are beautiful. Really want to come back.

£12. VERY interesting if you care about 1600's+ history AND take a guided tour. Very different from other palaces since the rooms are decorated with wood, wallpapers, paintings and statues. Nice exhibition of Lady Diana's fashion and clothing. Takes around 1h30 to visit. Take an afternoon tea at the Orangery (£30/person). Also expect 3 hours to walk and really enjoy Hyde Park as well. Lot of parakeets near Peter Pan's statue, the squirrels are very friendly on the north side of The Serpentine near the Italian Garden (i got a few climbing on my pants without any food to give)

Kensington Palace is absolutely beautiful!!! It is a huge tourist attraction. It is very large and always draws a crowd. It is a wonderful experience to see the guards walking back and forth guarding the residence of the Queen. If you're lucky you will be there to see changing of the guards. It is truly a magnificent site to see. You can get to Kensington Palace from the train station. Wear comfortable shoes as you will be doing lots of walking to get to the Palace. This is great for solo, families, and groups. It is kid friendly. You walk through a beautifully well maintained park. The gates to Kensington Palace are gigantic and have gold on them. There is a huge statue in front of the Palace. This is definitely a place to put on the list of must see activities in London, England UK

We really liked the tour of Kensington Palace. It’s not the current living quarters but the history and information is very interesting. If you buy tickets online ahead of time you’ll save about 10%, I think, you just print them and bring them in. You cannot bring in any metal water bottles in, they will make you leave it at the door. They check all the bags, just like other royal facilities. We absolutely loved the Diana dress exhibit that was on when we went. If you can fit this in I do think it’s worth it.

A lovely heritage site, filled with history and beautiful gardens all around it. A peaceful spot right in the middle of London, that makes you feel that you are in a country side, while being in the center of a fast paced metropolis. The location is amazing, perfect for walking around Kensington gardens, while still close to hyde park. While on the other side you get to Kensington high Street, a busy shopping area. Kensington palace and it's surrounding is almost always filled with tourists, which makes it hard to enjoy the scenery and the gardens. But on a nice summer day, this is definitely one of the best spots to enjoy the sun.

We visited Kensington Palace to view the Princess Diana exhibition. The dresses on show were beautiful but disappointing that there weren't very many! I was expecting more. I loved the quotes on the wall though. The Queen Victoria rooms were unexpectedly interesting depicting her life & her deep love for Albert with cute quotes taken from their letters to each other. Nice little tea room and a visit to the sunken garden where Harry & Meghan did their engagement press announcement completed our day. Well worth a visit!

Really cool for history and royalty buffs. I think everyone knows that though. Worth every penny. Went in January so absolutely zero wait. I'm sure the queues very a little crazy in the summer. If you can handle the cold, England in the winter is the way to go.

Absolutely loved my visit here. The highlight was The Diana exhibition, it was excellent. The whole layout was well thought out, contained lots of information and quotes from both Diana and celebrities. The dresses were displayed fantastically and you were able to take photos, no flashes but that was fine as pictures came out perfectly. The rest of Kensington Palace was also great, again lots of info displayed and people to answer questions. Very knowledgeable and happy staff. The grounds were also very well kept. Overall this place is fantastic and I highly recommend a visit.

Most adorable palace I would say only Because of Diana’ stay and her fashion memorial display. It also has great history to hold the stay of king and queen Victoria stay. Victoria statue in front of the palace has QR code, once you focus with phone camera, you will get auto file to hear the voice to self demonstration about her majesty. Entry to the garden is free but entry to palace needs a ticket to be purchased. The golden gate in memory of Diana is impressive. The pond with ducks and the park is lovely to spend good 30 on the park and another 1hour is required to be spent in the palace. The palace has restrooms, food court in the ground floor and a shopping center to purchase things about the palace and related things like t.shirt, key chains, etc.

Get to the palace early, and bring an umbrella in case of poor weather, because if there’s a line you may be waiting outside. Don’t forget to visit through the Diana exhibit; it can be crowded, but it’s beautiful. There is an incredible amount of history to be learned here; if you see an employee or tour guide, stop them and engage them in conversation to hear some wonderful stories. They love to talk to visitors! I would definitely visit again.

Unfortunately you can only tour the gardens and museums (Kate/William and Harry/Megan currently live here, amongst other high profile names). I personally thought it was a little expensive for how small it is - or at least how little access you have to the entire building. They had a beautiful exhibit of Diana's dresses she's worn over the years on display while we were there. It's much more entertaining to me to actually walk through rooms and locations of where people have lived rather than staring at art on a wall. It's worth a shot but I think there's other things on the London to-do list that are definitely higher up than this one.

You don’t have to be a royal or Princess Diana fan to enjoy Kensington Palace. The palace building, surrounding grounds and views are fantastic. Even better if it is a sunny day on a weekend, with families, kids and everyday people enjoying the day, open air and views. I was impressed how accessible and well utilized the palace was, despite being part of the royal family’s housing. There are some apps you can download and get talking history lessons for key landmarks too. Take the time to enjoy the garden and have a good look in the gift shop. We took the time to walk around palace and surrounding grounds and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are lucky, there is an ice cream van nearby to enhance the visit.

What a nice palace and beautiful garden! Acres and acres of big space. Lots of greens. Many local people bring their picnic basket and enjoy a beautiful afternoon on the grass. So relaxing..... There is a fee to tour the interior. If you have enough time, take your time check out the palace inside and enjoying the garden. Away from the heavy traffic.

A great morning or afternoon if you are in London. We spent 2 hours wandering around the Long's and Queens rooms as well as the Diana Collection of dresses which my wife found quite interesting. We topped it off with coffee and a sandwich in their cafe and sat outdoors. A lovely afternoon. Easy to get to using the tube (Queensway station) AND a short walk through Hyde Park to the Palace which dates back to William & Mary. Get there early to avoid queues

Absolutely worth a visit! You get to see a lot for the price of one ticket. It's fun to imagine their life back then. If you purchase your ticket online, make sure you arrive on time and not too early. I arrived 40 minutes early and had to spend almost 15 minutes in the queue so I could get the ticket changed to an earlier time. The Diana exhibition was totally amazing. You get to see so many outfits and learn so much about the meaning of certain colors, styles and fabrics. I teared up a few times reading about Diana.

Kensington Palace is a stunning building with so much history that practically oozes out of the walls in the building. The guides are great, and it's definitely worth listening to any of the talks that take place. Queen Victoria's life spent there is so fascinating, and the architecture is so amazing. Quite busy, especially during peak tourist season, so definitely worth booking in advance for both their standard entrance and their special exhibitions.

Wonderful display of the rooms used in the past. For us it started with an exhibit of Diane's dresses. Then to the old king and queens quarters. Good descriptions of what each room was used for, but most of the old furniture and art work is gone. And that is it for the interior. Nothing about the staff or how it all worked. Nothing about how it changed over the years. The staff is great if you have questions. The snack bar is great, unless you need something gluten free.
