Fabulous cinema! One of the oldest cinemas in London. I have unforgettable time every time I am visiting. I enjoy the noncommercial atmosphere and the fact that rarely someone eats popcorn or makes a noise! If you haven't been yet it is MUST on your list. To add more, the staff is lovely, so polite and friendly. Thank you for my glasses of Point Noir!

What a fabulous cinema! Just the right size, a lovely building, good cafe and an excellent booking system. The films they show are varied and not just obvious box office successes. Fabulous.

The phoenix cinema is an art house style cinema which has been brought to life by volunteers. It has a raked auditorium and is decorated in reds and golds. As you enter the ticket desk and refreshments are opposite you but it also has a cafe up the stairs which has an extensive menu and bar. A lovely place to visit. The cinema shows live performances from the Met Opera in new York, the bolshoi ballet in Moscow, the Royal Opera House, the Royal Shakespeare Company. Films are around £7+ and live screenings from £15 to £28. Recommended for a traditional cinema atmosphere and great facilities.

Britain's oldest purpose-built cinema! Get on the tube and walk to it in 2 mins. At least once in your life before they turn it into luxury flats like everything else.
