The Albert Memorial is a memorial that was built in remembrance of the late Prince Albert. Located in Kensington Gardens in London, it was unveiled in 1872. When I visited my daughter in London I stopped by here on my way. It is such a beautiful memorial. It has marble figures around the base representing Europe, Africa, Asia, & America. It also has other marble and bronze figures the further you go up. If you are ever visiting London and find yourself in the area of Hyde Park, definitely take a moment and check this out. Just a beautiful masterpiece.

Queen Victoria loved Albert. The memorial speaks volumes. Beautiful carefree park. Easy walking too. Victoria and Albert Museum close by.

Great location, very near South Kensington and on the edge of Hyde Park. Next to Royal Albert Hall. Can also see shard if weather clear enough.

Whilst visiting Kensington last week I had a walk through Kensington Palace Gardens and came across the Albert Memorial which is directly across the road from the Royal Albert Hall. It is a very tall and ornate memorial which sits on a very large base which you can walk all around. It is a magnificent structure surrounded by lots of marble figures which each have their own representation. Well worth a short stop if you are walking through the gardens and makes for a great photograph on a sunny blue sky day.

Wow! Amazing to see this inside Kensington Gardens right across from Royal Albert Hall) Absolutely beautiful. Confusing to tell where Hyde park begins and ends and where Kensington Gardens begins.. you gotta cross some bridge near a road and there’s a huge lake.. was Awesome though. Weather wasn’t too good though lol

This is something that I really liked the first time I travelled to London. The monument is composed of four sculptures that represent the four continents and in the middle of them stands the big Albert memorial. It's interesting to go around the monument trying to recognise which continent is which.

The Albert Memorial is one of the more spectacular memorials come land marks in London, while a lot less known. It was commissioned by Queen Victoria in memory of her beloved husband Prince Albert, who died in 1861.

Could see the top of the memorial from right across the park.... And in the sunshine it looked worth walking across to. NOT disappointed. Vicky must have really loved Alby.... This is an enormous monument. In fact it made the Royal Albert Hall look tiny! OK, so you'd never go to London just to see this, but it IS worth a pop by. There are catering places in the park to add to the fun.

A beautiful place for a walk or to read or work in peace. I love going there with my Kindle and spending some peaceful time reading, till sunset. You don't want to miss the lights, so make sure you stay till before sunset!

An amazingly elaborate monument to Prince Albert. The surrounding park is rather beautiful too. I’m not sure that I’d recommend that someone go specifically to see it, but if you’re in the area, I’d strongly recommend it. It’s certainly more spectacular than the Princess Diana memorial that is fairly close to it.

Great spot to meet people. Apparently it’s a wonder of the Victorian age. Opposite splendid Albert Hall. No obvious toilets nearby ...
