Probably my new favourite place in London. The food is really good, surpassed my expectations. Everything worked well, not pretentious. Service was attentive and knowledgeable but not obtrusive. The wine list was great had some premium stuff by the glass. I think they use Coravin and the wine is stored well. It's more a game oriented restaurant so maybe not your top choice if you are vegetarian. The price was very reasonable considering the quality. Also, glassware and silverware were great. Loved it, will be back.

Been there a few times, always enjoyed it. All the meat is tasty and the starters are always intriguing - although they could change the menu more often. Dessert options are limited but intersting and uncommon - try the ice cream biscuit! Had issues with slow service a couple of times.

Went for dinner, group of six, shortly before Christmas. Food was great - lots of unusual game dishes. Wine menu felt expensive. Don't be fooled - this is a restaurant not a pub. Reason for 4 stars not 5 was the service - it all felt a bit forced and waiters were a little full of themselves. If they could deliver the excellent food in effortless down-to-earth fashion then this would be vying for one of the best in London.

We decided to go for the chef’s special which was lamb with cottage pie and vegetables. I have to say the main was absolutely delicious and the desert was without a fault. The 4 star review is down to the fact that I was expecting a bit more from a Michelin star place. Don’t get me wrong it’s outstanding food but you can get better deals at Michelin star places for less.

Unpretentious surroundings and stunning food. We’ve been 3 or 4 times and it never fails to impress. Staff were very attentive / helpful.

Very low key venue. Not easy to book a table , had to book it a couple of months in advance to get the table I wanted. Excellent service. Understated, friendly and very professional. The food was delicious, great Sunday set menu (not cheap). Three courses were well worth the cost. Highly recommend this place with great food and excellent service.

I left feeling absolutely robbed! They have a set 3 course menu advertised as £49.50. They do not display the price for just a main on its own. The bill came with a supplement charge for roast beef of £10 even though we were just getting a main. Worked out at £40 each for a Sunday roast!! I know this place is supposed to be Michelin starred but it’s nowhere near that good! Not displaying the price for main courses seemed odd at the time, but upon reflection this is clearly a deliberate move to over charge customers. Food is completely average! Not only will I never go again, I will discourage anyone I know from going!

Lovely and attentive service with great food. Tables are well apart, and very spacious room. Great British menu in residential area. True gastro pub. Highly recommended.

Best Sunday roast by far. Nice relaxing atmosphere with Michelin star quality food which was reasonably priced. Good wine list as well.
