Wandle Park is an 8.5-hectare (21-acre) park located in the Broad Green Ward of Croydon, south London, England. It was opened in 1890 by the Mayor of Croydon. The site is protected by Fields in Trust through a legal "Deed of Dedication" safeguarding the future of the space as public recreation land for future generations to enjoy.
The River Wandle flows through the park. Between 1967 and 2012 this was in an underground culvert which was constructed by Croydon Council. The park used to contain a boating lake which dried up and was filled in.

Lovely place! I love to go there, sit on the bench, look at ducks. A lot of events are happening there. You can often listen to a live music, take part in multi cultural gigs and meetings. Plenty of space to play a game on grass, plenty of space to your kids or pets. Brilliant, green and friendly place. I think it's the best park in Croydon area..

Wandle Park has been cleaned up very nicely. The skate park, basketball and tennis courts are popular with the kids. There are always dog walkers, joggers with children at the play area all getting along well. The cafe is a little expensive yet still good to have it there. There is a tram stop right at the park so very easy to travel there and get home easily. With no close toilet facilities, the tram could get you on your way quickly.

Very nice park, well maintained and is open to public. Has a nice cafe as well. Also different activities like bike riding. Great for long walks in the winter and to get fresh air in summers. Park closes at 5:30 so if planning a picnic have to manage time. Has a very places for picnic also has barbecue place where you can your own meat. Definitely one of the best parks. Has a play area for children and teenagers so a great place for a day out with family.

It's OK as parks go and can be quite nice in the summer but nothing really to do unless you have kids and the cafe is highly expensive so bring your own grub

Good layout and facilities. There's a cafe with ice cream, coffee and sandwiches. Parents can feel comfortable bringing children of most ages here to play. Chives include; the sand pit, the swings, the cricket pitch, the climbing ropes or the wide open greens that often have people playing a little football or flying kites and drones. There is also a perimeter path around the entire park, perfect for jogging. Off to one side there is a tennis court and a basketball court and finally a skateboard park.

Park could do with a bit of cleaning up. Toi many dog walkers around not taking responsibility for cleaning up after dogs. This spoils ability to enjoy the features of the park to its fullest.
