This is a great zoo. In a way it's the typical "city zoo" but London zoo has made is possible to have a lot of different exotic animals on a relatively small space while ensuring that the animals thrive. As a bonus the zoo is home to a huge indoor aquarium with fish in 100s of tanks. Both the zoo and the aquarium is well worth your time and money (it's possible to buy tickets for the zoo / aquarium independently).

ZSL would be perfect if humanity didn't exist. Go on a rainy day and it's perfect. As an adult zoos give me conflicting emotions, but ultimately and especially with ZSL their heart is in the right place and are doing some really important work. It's damn expensive, but the membership is definitely worth it if you think you'll go 4+ times a year.

Been several times as a family and always enjoyed it. Lots of stuff to see and often interesting activities put on for kids (and adults!) to enjoy. Definitely worth buying tickets online in advance to avoid queuing when you arrive. Food in the main restaurant area is pretty decent if a little pricey, and they have a very good range of options available. Allow lots of time for your visit, there's plenty on offer so could easily take up a whole day allowing for rests and a bite to eat.

Always enjoy the zoo! It’s a great day out with family, friends or even on your own. My one complaint would be that the smaller stalls/shops could do with more reliable card machines. Not everyone carries cash on them.

Small but very well thought out zoo. Some great animals and good shows and talks. The spider and insect areas are scary but fascinating. You can walk through spiders, butterflies and lemur areas if you wish. Sadly some areas were closed due to the fire, hopefully they will reopen soon.

I LOVE going to zoos in other countries and the London zoo was totally worth it. If you buy tickets online ahead for time you save something like 10%, which is awesome!!! It’s quite large, has a cool monkey part where you are inside with the monkeys. The lion setup is intricate and detailed and large. They have the same kind of walk in habitat for the Lemurs too! There are Pygmy hippos and the penguin habitat is the best I’ve ever seen. I even got a video of one just swimming and jumping all over the place. The wild dog habitat is very large and you can get very close with some low windows, very cool. When we went there were hundreds of schools kids and it was still fun! There’s an aquarium, tigers, bats, reptiles... fun for the whole family. We didn’t eat there, but there’s food options too for sure. I’m so happy we went!

AMAZING WORKERS WHO PUT GUESTS FIRST Came yesterday and Was looking for tigers with my little boy.I stopped a lovely young lady for directions who worked there. To my shock I saw she was crying but would not tell me what was wrong .She was so amazing and offered to walk us to the tigers despite her mood? which I was not expecting .she even gave us some information that we never even knew .We were very grateful and I felt as I wanted to thank her but assume she went home.when we were leaving to my shock she was still working and putting on a brave face.Very excellent and brave young lady.Cant wait to come back and hopefully see her much happier.

Yes, the tickets were expensive but after seeing everything on the inside it was well worth it! You have to remember the ticket fees are what keep the place going and they are doing an amazing job and maintaining the facilities and taking care of the animals. I saw so many people working while I was there and they were also very friendly and informative. Information overload In a good way!

Pleasant time at the Zoo today. Good crowd because of the Easter weekend. Many families. Enjoyed the aviary, camels and monkeys. Staff were helpful. Affordable.

Really a great day out with friends and family. Animals are well looked after and seem comfortable in their enclosures. Shops situated all over... Best idea was the flip flop shop. Large assortment of snack shacks as well as a nicely put out restaurant.

Wonderful place to visit for a family day out. Very kid friendly and with loads of different things to keep the little ones occupied. Their cafe has a very varied menu with healthy things on offer as well instead of just burgers and chips like most places.

This zoo is amazing. It can take 4+ hours to see all exhibits, so be sure to allow for plenty of time. We found the best way to get there to be the northern underground line yo camden town. It's a short walk West from the station exit. Be sure to see the Okapi. It looks like a cross between a zebra and a giraffe and is surreal.

The best thing about this place is that the zoo's first priority are animals. I remember when we arrived, there was an unfortunate incident and the zoo had been closed for all visitors and this was to ensure that the animals were safe and not under stress and of course for the safety of the visitors too. The staff were very polite and humble in explaining the visitors about the incident. When I contacted the customer service, the response was prompt and they gave me options to either get a full refund or opt for another day. Chose the latter and I must say it was a wise choice. It's one of the best zoo's I've visited in a long time. Although it's not the best environment for wild animals to live and thrive in, it's good to see varied animals including endangered ones being taken care of well. The zoo itself is well laid out with lots of signs and public facilities like restaurants and public toilets. My family had a really good time and highly recommend this place for educational and family excursions.

Good fun, and does not feel too packed, even on a glorious sunny Sunday. I think it could benefit from a larger number of pop-up, kiosk style refreshment options - just so that one could get an ice-cream or a coffee without having to track all the way back to the restaurant square and then wasting time in a queue.

Large zoo with a wide range of animals. The entrance price is steep but if you go regularly a membership is worthwhile. The zoo works with many conservation and wildlife projects around the world so part of your tickets cost goes towards helping protect and learn from animals in the wild.

Very nice atmosphere, great staff; very helpful and cheerful. Amazing views of animals. Great attractions, and food. I highly recommend to visit this place. I had a wonderful time my self.

I really love London zoo. We went late around 4.00 pm and it was great not too many people as it was winding down for the day. Only problem we had was with the card reader when paying declined both mine and my friends card. But when we paid at another window it was fine. Took us ages to find the giraffes but it was worth it.

I haven't visited this place since I was a kid and decided to go recently with my partner. Plenty of parking close to the main entrance and on the road side (check online for disabled parking and parking charges as varies) entrance fee is expensive, but once your in you can easily spend the day there. The cafe is sensibly priced while some of the small shops can be a bit pricey. I was impressed with the layout and how easy it was to make your way round without going back and forth or missing things. The animals were mostly easy to see with plenty of view points for each while allowing the animals plenty of space and areas to hide. Plenty of staff on hand for help and plenty of facilities close at hand. The whole zoo is well sign posted and easy to navigate. This is also a very disabled friendly place with, I think, nothing really out of reach. A large variety of animals, insects and birds that are clearly looked after. The park is well maintained. There are various talks and shows throughout the day and large picnic area. There are also areas where you can go in with the animals and insects (spiders- I'm still not sure how I was persuaded to do this) and the staff were brilliant to talk to and clearly very passionate about what they do. Brilliant day out.

Brilliant day out. Themed areas are great and they also have quite a few "In with the..." enclosures where you go in with the animals such as butterflies, monkeys, lemurs and spiders. Restaurant was great too; quick service, decent food and quite reasonably priced.

Great day out for the kids, especially the butterfly sanctuary. It was an amazing experience, so pretty! My two year old is currently in love with turtles so seeing the Madagascar giant turtles was the best treat for him, thankfully we got there just as one of them was thirsty so he walked all the way to the water to drink and then walked back 🤣

Couldn't be faulted. Easy parking. Lots of shade and picnic places. Air conditioned restaurant with plenty of food for Dairy free and Gluten free options. Stimulating activities for animals so they were alert and easy to see. Lots of multi- level activities providing good views of animals.

What a brilliant day out we had we went as a small family and our 7 month old loved it he was very young to really understand it all but he looked so cute staring at the animals. It is very expensive inside the zoo as to be expected really but if you bring your own snacks and drinks you should be fine. It's a bit random the way the zoo is set out so I definitely recommend getting a map they hand out at the start. All in all a brilliant day out for everyone of all ages just bring comfy shoes.
