Awesome views of Cabo, Pedregal and Divorce Beach. Wear walking shoes with a good tread design, last 200 vertical feet is 45 degrees in some spots, I did it in good sport sandals. Total cling was about 800 to 100 feet. Access to the trail is through a private yard (tip jar on site) South of the Cabo Marina. Well worth the time and effort.
This is a super fun hike with great view. You can see many beaches as well as a great view of the city and ocean. My wife and I just sat at the top for like an hour just watching the birds and the boats fly and sail around. The trail is not marked super well, we followed some faded cloth ribbons to get to the top. Bring lots of water and you should be fine.
Great lil hike with very rewarding views given the effort to get to the top. Sunrise up there is amazing! I'd recommend starting the hike as early as possible since it gets pretty damn hot pretty damn quick on the climb and there's no shelter other than the shadow of the mountain itself. I'd also recommend bringing a couple of bottles of water to stay hydrated. If you bring food or drink with you, PLEASE take the trash back down with you!
short but still provides a good workout. if your afraid of heights this might be a tough one for you. 360 degree view from top is worth it.
This is one of the most amazing sites that I have ever seen! My friend and I walked to the top got to experience something that not everyone gets to see in life. We are both 2 Grande Gringos and when we stopped to talk to the Dog Keeper he said that we were the 2 biggest he had ever see go to the top and actually took our picture. If you pace yourself you can make it just make sure that you big plenty of water and fruit.
Awesome hike. Accessible not far from Marina, sign on the gate says "Mt Solmar Hike", use small gate on right side, reach in to unlock, tip if you can. Not terribly hard but I hike the Cascades in WA. Doable in Chacos or similar sandles. Careful of cactus. Don't fall at the top, long way down.
Make sure you wear hiking shoes and bring plenty of water. Say hello to the man who owns the land before heading out---the entrance is private property. Unbeatable views and an amazing experience that ends up at the most amazing beaches, which you may have all to yourself!
You have to do this! Such a great place to explore. We even saw whales breaching!
We loved the hike to the peak! Beautiful views like no other in Cabo!
