Belle of Louisville is a steamboat owned and operated by the city of Louisville, Kentucky, and moored at its downtown wharf next to the Riverfront Plaza/Belvedere during its annual operational period. Originally named Idlewild, she was built by James Rees & Sons Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for the West Memphis Packet Company in 1914 and was first put into service on the Allegheny River. Constructed with an all-steel superstructure and asphalt main deck, the steamboat is said to hold the all-time record in her class for miles traveled, years in operation, and places visited. Belle of Louisville's offices are aboard Mayor Andrew Broaddus, also a National Historic Landmark.

Great for sightseeing the Ohio river and an all around good tasting buffet with lots of selections. Don't be cheap, buy the inside seating with meal or you'll freeze out side in the open seating section!!!! The dj is super fun and tries to include everyone to get up and dance some after the buffet is served. We'll definitely be going again!!!!

We rode on the Mary M. Miller Very nice!! Husband booked dinner reservations for our 9yr anniversary, and it was fun. 9/23 was our date and the gentleman who was the speaker on the boat was so nice and funny!! He tells you bits of history around the are and chose good music. We paid extra for a window seat and it was well worth it. The bridge and all lights up at night and we was lucky as fireworks went off downtown for the end of leukaemia walk and the fireworks where awesome especially from boat view. The food was good, roasted chicken, pulled pork, salad, green beans w/carrots, baked potato coleslaw, pasta salad, and dessert. The dessert area was a little disappointing (cheap store bought cookies and not sure what the other thing was) but to be honest we was so full after our main meal we never got to dessert! There was also a bar, sodas, lemonade, etc. All in all great fun and views. We loved it

Fun night, but the boat didn't leave the harbor due to fog. Drinks were a little pricey, too

She is the oldest operating steamboat in the world. Where can you ride up and down the river on a paddle wheeler and see such beautiful scenery? The Belle now has air conditioning, and a buffet is served if you want to go the expense. My grandkids loved the experience. The weather even rained at first. So, we had this wonderful mist blowing in the wind for awhile. It does have stairs you must climb, so you must be physically able to do this. You got to see the engine room what makes the paddles turn Wonderful experience turned out a great day.

The Belle of Louisville use to be the Mark Twain in New Orleans and was purchased and renamed in Louisville. When I was a child in the 60's, I use to ride it when it was the Mark Twain. So we ocasional ride it on special occasions and enjoy the food, drinks and view while riding up and down the river reminiscing.

We've done the Belle of Louisville a few times. A unique way to see the city and sights of the Ohio River. It was nice to be able to spend a couple of hours out in the sun on the water and out of all of the big city crowds. Prices are reasonable.

I love having the Belle of Louisville on the Ohio River here in Louisville. Whether it is enjoying a trip up the river on the Belle or sitting on the river bank at Captain’s Quarters watching her turn around and head back downtown, it just does not matter where you are - a passenger onboard or just watching this lovely old paddle boat is always a special treat.

I mean, come on. It's the Belle of Louisville. Classic. Amazing. Just a tad pricey

The crew on board was very friendly and helpful. We were there for Thunder. Ihave to say the Belle is not very accessible for handicapped people. Especially wheelchairs!

We love this boat for New Years. Little ones should not be allowed for a new years package. Lots,of screaming and crying to tolerate for a high price.

The Riverboat cruises are awesome! Great food and a great ride. The Belle of Louisville is over 100 years old and she is worth the ride if you get the chance or want to go, I highly recommend it.

It’s a really cool boat. I went with a field trip and really there isn’t a lot to do. I’m sure if you went for a dinner or event it would be really neat. But still had a great time.

Had a great day with family. Nice buffet and weather was perfect. Also enjoyed learning history about Louisville and Jefferson City.

The boat ride was wonderful! I enjoyed my time. The reason for the 2 star is the food in the concession stand. The chicken strips were cold and gooey on the inside. After asking for a fresh batch, they were even worse. You all need to invest in fryer. Baking those strips makes them awful!!!! Nice boat ride though or just serve nachos.

Loved the boat ride. Dining area, dance floor, gift shop, snacks and drinks rest rooms. You can go down to the boiler room. Wish it had been a scenic tour. Music blasts your ears off at the beginning but is turned down for the ride. The very worst thing is trying to figure out parking , making loops over and over again . You can see it but can't figure out how to get there. It needs signs. The parking garage is on the other side of the road. You have to get to the other side. Its a 2 Hour ride. Ride at the bow if you get a chance just because of the air and I just enjoyed the view.

My first trip ever on the dinner cruise was for my birthday with my husband. We had the buffet and unlimited soda (which was great because it was hot as balls) interesting mix of music/entertainment on the boat. Will definitely go again! Staff even helped direct us to good parking in the area too!

As a Louisvillian I was worried that going on the Belle would be more of a tourist trap experience than anything else, but my wife and I had a great time on an evening dinner cruise. The food was mediocre but the service was great, the bar and concession amenities were solid, and the seating up top was perfect for viewing the river along the way. Next time I would do the cruise only without the food which is very affordable. Just short enough to not feel trapped...and it's an actual working steamboat! I always thought it had an electric motor and the paddle was for show.

Beautiful and relaxing! Although there's not much to see down the Ohio it is a great family option on a warm day. Very peaceful! We loved it
