Hostels in Luang Prabang, Laos

On the Mekong River in Laos, Luang Prabang was the capital of this southeast Asian country until 1975. It's a World Heritage Site, famous for its Royal Palace, where the Golden Buddha of Phra Bang resides. This Golden Buddha is the most sacred image in Laos. Luang Prabang has lots of Buddhist monasteries around the city and every morning monks walk the streets to collect alms.
