It's a very pretty view, but if the weather is foggy you can't see anything and I don't think its the easiest drive up. Slightly over-rated for just a lookout in my opinion.

What a view! We were driving all the way up with our own car as we read that they were some parking spaces, which is true. We also read that it was a scary ride to go there--it is not. Yes, the street is narrow and the curves are not the easiest ones but it is all manageable. On top there is a restaurant which was closed when we were there in winter. Nevertheless, the view was worth the trip.

A relatively easy hike up, about 2km of stairs with a mid-way view point. A grassy area at the top where we stopped to have a picnic and take in the view before walking down through the woods. Restaurant at the top and there is a car park at the bottom with toilet facilities.

If you are choosing on which mountain to go, go to San Salvatore, don't waste time here. Very slow funicolare, no good viev on top, only 2 restaurants. Does not worth your money. San Salvatore offers much much better views and fast funicolare.
