Great wee gem of a place! Elaine and her volunteers work hard to make sure animals are well cared for and that visitors can get up close to and pet some unusual animals.
The exotic animals are great for the kids. But you could be around the whole place in 20 minutes. Poorly signposted.
Very small but very great place to visit. There are no big animals like hypos or giraffs but still very nice place to be or have a walk with family. Kids love it. Definitely recommend.
Easy to get to and very reasonably priced. The variety of animals is sufficient for a couple of hours of exploration, and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable when asked. Definitely suitable if you've a free afternoon, you're on a budget, and fancy the chance to pet a skunk or hold a snake.
Friendly well informed volunteers introduced us to lizards, frogs, a skunk, ferret, spiders, snakes as well as usual petting zoo animals such as rabbits, lambs etc. We loved the lemurs and exotic birds including emus and there are lots of farm animals too. It is a lovely few hours out- we spent three hours here today. The best bit is getting to meet and hold so many animals. It is a small zoo which majes for a very good personal experience. This is about as far from a major visitor attraction as you could get in terms of atmosphere. Very laid back. Those are the 5star worthy good points. And all animals are really well cared for. However from a welfare perspective the crocodile and owl are in far too small enclosures. There also seems to be no good reason the lemurs couldn't have a much larger space. Apparently they are building larger enclosures at the rear of the park. For that reason I can only give it three stars. The place appears run down at first but that's only cosmetic ( could do with a kick of paint) but aside from Crocodile and owl enclosures it is actually well kept where it matters.
It is a nice place, but i expected something more. Mostly there are birds, talking about 4 legs, there are pigs, sheeps, goats. Few ginea pigs and rabbits.
Most fun I had in a while, volunteers working there are very informative and good around the animals. It's easy to get to and absolutely fantastic for a fun family time with the cutest animals
Took our nephews who enjoyed seeing the animals. I however found it difficult to look past how small the enclosures for the animals are.
Brilliant love it here, loads of animals to see and pet, children love it and it's also for anyone who's afraid of different animals as it can help getting over your fears, my daughter petted a tarantula even knowing she's petrefied of spiders so that was a step in the right direction for her :) .
Really enjoyed this today with my family. The staff were really friendly and brought out lots of animals for the kids to play with. A great little day out.
Brilliant for the whole family. Staff are excellent and take time with the kids. Lots of cute and not so cute animals to hold and learn about.
Went with my son and the young girl that showed him all the reptiles was excellent and very helpful. My son has autism and she was very patient with him and told him all about the animal's..I will be back again.
Just out of this 'farm' I am absolutely appalled by not only the state the animals are kept in ( for one their big burmese python is in bad shed which tells alot about a snakes health and hygiene) but the lack of knowledge that the staff have about the animals they keep. Honestly do not know how people can rate this higher than a one when there are so many other farms run to a much better standard and with knowledgeable staff. Complete waste of money. Very disheartened to see why their standards have not been pulled up since they have a 'zoo' status.
Great wee place to take the kid's. One on one on the weekdays at the petting zoo and reptile house. Our wee boy absolutely loved all the different chickens 🐔 and lemurs. Good time promised. ❤️❤️
Lovely place for my 3yr old. I also thoroughly enjoyed it and staff/Gemma was very informative and really knew her stuff. Holding the tarantula was my favourite and feeding the chickens my child's favourite. If you have small children a visit is highly recommended.
