Surprisingly varied and informative! We expected to just walk around a garden for an hour or so, but we ended up spending ~3 hours in- and outside. There is a fascinating installation set up in a corner of the glacier exposition, which allows you to form ice crystals on demand with a copper heat sink. Don't miss it! I would recommend getting the Lion Pass to gain access to the nearby Bourbaki Panorama, if you're interested an extra dose of history. And don't miss the Lion Monument, which is located between these two museums.
Interesting museum showing the glacial tock formation as they were found in the late 1800s. The tower at the very top offers a panoramic view of Lucern. Worth a visit her after the Lion Monument. Ask for special rates with Swiss Rail pass.
Very interesting,Nice place to visit for Lucerne's history.
Reasonably priced and very interesting. Great place to spend a rainy afternoon. Nice observation deck and house of mirrors.
Beautiful place and many different and interesting things to do
A small park and historical museum in the middle of Lucerne. Not much has changed in the last 30 years there, but there are plans for 2018 to modernize and extend the museum. Good for children. Mix of things inside and outside to do, so it can be used for a bad weather program. It took us about 2 hours to visit everything.
I thought it was Meh. The views atop the tower weren't that great, and the museum was so-so. Plus with the entrance fee, not worth it. Great for a visit during wet weather, but that's it.
The gletches garten is not soooo exciting, but the museum, mirror labyrinth and lookout tower are worth the entrance fee. Raiffeisen cardholders get free entry.
Lovely place to explore. Not only how glaciers were part of the landscape, but how the potholes in the riverbed form as well. There was also a mirror maze for the kids and the old 18th century house for the history and cultural buffs.
Nice to stay for an hour if you have swiss travel pass as the admission is free if you have it. There is a wooden tower which you can climb up and have a nice view of the city.
Super place. Excellent geological experience. Added bonus is the mirror maze.
Very nice models of glaciers and an amazing mirror maze. There are also videos that get projected in both English and German
This is not just an informative museum about glaciers. They have an interesting maze & mirrors that offer loads of fun for visitors. My family had such a great time laughing till we teared with splitting sides!
Really cool place. Well worth the visit. The house of mirrors was an unexpected treat.
