Beautiful modern building housing a café, study and reading spaces and an extremely well stocked library. Super helpful and friendly staff can help you with anything you need. Everything you could ever ask for from a cultural center!

Great library, great location, fantastic cafe, great museum installations. It's a great place to come and work/etc/meet/greet/discover at the foot of the bridge with the awkward steps. :-)

Really cool place to read books, newspapers, to study and to attend social activities. Also there is free wifi.

Great coffee and cheesecake at the coffee shop... only problem was deciding WHICH cheesecake!

Modern, clean, quiet. Take in the history of Maastricht or check out a visiting exhibit. Grab a coffee or a bite in the café. Do some reserach, school work, or relax with a book or some music. The library even has rooms you can book to practice an instrument or hold a small meeting. Free entrance and free wifi.

Probably one of the better libraries I've been in. The layout is great and works well. There's a lot of space to sit and also individual rooms if you wish to sit alone without disturbances. You can also find rooms to practice playing instruments in. The overall ambience of the place is also good with occasional events taking place at the library accompanied by good music. The selection of books is also great on all subjects. Would highly recommend visiting it

One of my favourite places in Maastricht. Whenever I am in the city, I will go there to work or read a book or enjoy my coffee myself or with a company. A modern building with plenty of space outside and inside. Because of the big "ground to ceiling" windows it has plenty of natural light. Many many categories of books, friendly staff and a superb Coffee Lovers for your coffee or snack. There are rooms for music study also. Finally, there are many exhibitions or events taking place on the ground floor. A must visit spot in Maastricht!

It's a library pretty good variety. Lacking variety of English books.

Great library! Enough quiet places to work. Sadly enough, many books can not be taken home.

Great place to to charge your phone, get free Wi-Fi...or just have a break because these chairs are so comfortable.

I love the place and it used to be a quiet place to work and study. But the library became a kindergarten the moment they installed a Nijntje exhibition. They even have a playground for the kids there. Kids, babies screaming, crying while you try to focus on your work. If you want to keep it as a library then consider if any extra exhibition/service contradics with the atmosphere of the library.
