Historical place showing European religious heritage in Macao. Great tourists attraction for people celebrating the Chinese New Year in vicinity. Good for peace, good for human rights events.

Good historic place, but its too crowded on the weekend. Its so hard even for a walk. The museum is neat, clean and good for education. Even though there were not much shown. Overall, the place is still worth to visit and there's also many great streed food and gifts shop.

Interesting place. In holiday seasons this place will be full of visitors. You can't walk fast.... too many people. Many shop. You can buy some cheap food around the way to it. There is a museum inside it. And at the other side you can go to upper level of Fort building and you can see the city view from it. I also went here in the evening until 9pm. The view of the Ruins look awesome. Try it. You might like what you see in the night

Well preserved historical sight. A little bit too crowded to my liking. Recommend to visit there early in the morning before the big crowds.

Simply beautiful. The little museum is well done, the access to the ruins is great. The photos taken in front of the ribs always look fantastic! If you're in Macau you must visit. Also take the time to go to the fort which is only 200m away.

Historical place but not interesting for me. Others said look magnificent the way I look at it looks like ordinary. Huge people going up I arrived night time. So far to walk. A lot of Filipinos around. Fast foods left and right.Everybody can speak English.

The last time I'm visiting here is 2010, is more beautiful after 8 years. The walking arcade to the ruins, shop, food, etc. Loves being here again. I recommended to try food at something path, you'll be found it.

One of most visited historic place to visit while in Macau. So many tourists talking photos in around and of themselves. They tried to preserve what is left of the ruins. There is only one facade of it left standing, braced by steel frames on the back. There is also a museum of sort underground and they ask you to be respectful of the historical artifacts by not speaking inside.

The area is excellent. I would highly recommend. We went on labour day, and could hardly move as it was so busy, but this just added to the areas appeal! The ruins were very impressive and worth a visit

A great cultural artifact to visit! It is really cool up close, but at the same time it is not much to see. I saw it for the first time in the classic Martin Scorsese film 'Silence,' so I knew I had to see it in real life. There are souvenirs and shopping around, so anyone can have a great time. Take time to give it a visit, but it should not take much time away from other sightseeing.

Been there once and was packed with tourist. The streets nearby are interesting to me with good local food and delicacies that we bought home. I would spend more time there if I have the chance to visit Macau again.

Veryinteresting and important place in the history of Macau. Highly recommend a visit here and also to the very interesting Macau Museum across the way. The museum is one of the best municipal museums I've ever visited; in fact, I would say that it was the highlight of our first day of walking around Macau. Be sure and check it out!

It is a historical place, a lot of people gathers here and still amazing that the facade still holds. The ruins are not such big deal but the entire area is what gives the charm of the place... you go directly towards or through the city center depending of the way you are coming... the stairs to the city center open a new world, a city full of life :)

The landmark of Macau, you need to go here and take picture in this area then you have successfully landed in Macau. It is a ruin, indeed which you can view front part of the Church, going there is quite easy, you can follow signs on the street. Nearby, there is a local food that you can find, some peanuts sweets, and Portuguese egg tart. A little bit further there is a church whereby you can pray inside the church. The guard said that there is still mass every Sunday.
Suryadi Leunglug 10, 2018
Great place for walk and photography... This is the remaining of the church, crowded but you may get a good shot if you patience enough to wait. After explore here you may walk down to all the stalls for souvenir and foods, especially for the Egg tart....

It's an impressive structure and a great photo opportunity. But... Every single visitor to Macau has this place on it's to do list. There are sooooooo many people there that's it's actually hard to walk. But once you get there it's all worth it. I also recommend going up to the fortress and enjoy the beautiful views from it. There is also a museum that I didn't have a chance to explore.
