We tried going a few times, since we are staying close by. First time, the doors were locked tight at 1pm, even though it is supposed to be open till 2pm. Many other people came to check while we were standing there trying to figure out if we’d made a mistake. Another try today, we got there at 4:15 and all the tours for the afternoon were booked - no admission possible. My advice to the traveler with many sites to see in this wonderful city... spend your time somewhere else!

The monastery was founded by the Joanna of Austria, and became home to several girls and women from royal families who decide to join. Still today there are nuns living there. Visits are guided and take about an hour. You should book in advance to ensure you get an entry. You can do it online or locally. Really beautifull historic place. No pictures are allowed (except in the entrance area).

Spanish language tour. But interesting building and artwork. Tour takes about 1 hour

An excellent place to visit with many artifacts and historic nuances to gaze upon. Lots of paintings and tapestries from the Eras gone all with religious connotations. Really loved it. The person in charge of the guided tour, however, wasn't very knowledgeable unfortunately, and kept repeating the same "concepts" over and over again.

This is the most magical place that you can visit.. It's a monastery in which 18 nuns still live like 500 years ago

Unfortunately not enough tours with guide in English and/or German. But the worst was the customer service at entrance. The lady was very unfriendly, not greeting us, the tourists, without passion for service, and arrogant! Making a bad impression its never ideal, and it's definitely hard to recover from. What's happening to Spanish hospitality?
