Great museum with amazing art pieces. It feels very intimate being inside the painter's studio and family house.

Excellent museum!! Sorolla was a great representative of impressionism, even though he is less famous than the french painters. Apart from the paintings, which are beautiful, the building ( artist's home) is a great sight itself. The discreet decoration of the rooms and the garden make it seem really elegant.

Beautiful gardens and building with well preserved interiors. Exhibition is well curated and with additional materials gives good overview of artists life. Tickets are only €4.

A small but beautiful collection, nicely curated in a house that's Sorollo once painted in. There may be other great Sorolla's in other museums, but it is worth coming here to see this house, the furnishings and the paintings in it. The gardens are also beautiful and are worth spending some time in. Admission for senior citizens is free and there is reduced or free admission for other groups as well. If you like these paintings they offer Fine Art reproductions which they will print for you. Because of the large number of paintings hung on the wall in the main three rooms it is not possible to see some of them very well. However the museum does have descriptions on laminated cards of the paintings and the furnishings and this helps. The museum is open on some evenings until 8 p.m. and is not crowded then. You could certainly come there in the evening and spend 2 hours, from 6 to 8 and you would have seen everything. It is not a museum you need to plan a whole day on.

Exquisite collection of art by a Spanish painter. What is interesting is the large variety of other art he collected in his house, such as furniture, clothing, sculptures and pottery. This is a tiny place, so you'll only need about an hour, but a good tip is to then spend another hour in the gorgeous little garden, which is very peaceful and beautiful.

Great place to spend a couple hours, very close to Madrid Downtown. Great for art lovers, but a little crowded sometimes, the garden outside is gorgeous

The hidden gem of Madrid museums. The combination of history, architecture, culture, and fine art is great. It's also free on Sunday... And the gardens are beautiful and shaded. Nice place for a short rest from the hot sun.

Nice small museum, and beautiful outdoor gardens. The upstairs was closed when I went by the downstairs of the house has lots of paintings by Sorolla with great information about them on cards in each room. The museum is free after 2 on Saturdays and on Sundays.

This is a very unique museum. It houses many beautiful works by the exceptiona Spanish artist Sorolla. Art is displayed in his actual home within the actual rooms that he and his family lived in. His personal collectables are spread throughout the home and all of these are also displayed with very good tast. His studio is also intact. The audio guide is excellent and an absolute asset to your visit. This is a rare opportunity to see the way a great artist lived with everything perfectly preserved in an exceptional and beautiful home and lovely small gardens and water features.
