Naval museum with many models of Spanish ships, art featuring naval battles and portraits of naval commanders, navigational tools, and a small section about Spain's modern navy. No official entrance fee but the suggested donation of 3€ is very strongly encouraged. Wheelchair and stroller accessible.
This is a must see attraction in Madrid. The museum is very large and has items and models from the early exploration and naval times to current day. Allow some time to visit here as it's quite large and full of interesting things.
One of the most interesting museum in Madrid. Read the history on charts. Amazing collection. Spent 3 hours and loved it
This is an old fashioned military museum. Lots and lots of amazing models and a great collection of artifacts. Not a whole lot of English explanation but you can recognise the names of the big battles and places
I did the 3 hour free guided tour though the museum (in Spanish only). Very very interesting. The guide was very passionate and was able to keep our attention for the full 3 hours. Get the guided tour or at least the audioguide or you won't be able to appreciate the museum. PS: The 3 euros admission is actually voluntary
This one of the museums that is outside the usual tourist trail of Madrid and a real hidden gem. The place is quite big and we'll documented. It covers the naval history of Spain do obviously it has a lot to offer. The entrance us free but a 3 euro donation per person is suggested for the maintenance of the museum which we were very happy to provide and was well worth it.
Well presented display of Spain's rich Naval history and its armada. Witness the spread of Spanish influence across the globe through the travels of its fleet. Easily spend a few hours and inexpensive entry fee. (More like a donation)
Whether you're a history buff or not, the Naval museum is a must. It takes a great look on the Spanish history; following the naval achievements throughout the centuries. Entrance is free but there is a €3 'forced' donation.
Vast and informative museum. There is a donation of €3 for entry which they enforce as mandatory, so should be reclassified as an entry fee and not donation. (maybe creates tax issues for them?).
Lovely museum, did not expect what I was going to see. Lots of beautiful models of old ships. There is also a new corridor that shows some of Spain's current and modern vessels and aircraft. Sadly not much English to be seen and the entrance wasn't very clear.
Great place, a lot of interesting history in this museum and tickets was only €3 each! Also gift shop has some pretty cool items for a good price also! Highly recommend this place to any history, war, ship and plane fanatics!
Absolutely amazing. Better than expected. Be be sure to get the English audio guide if your Spanish is not that great.
This a amazing place. It also has a good variety of ships and other stuff regarding to the Spain naval.
Best free museum in Madrid. Covers a lot of history. Great detailed models of old and modern ships.
