Mnajdra (Maltese: L-Imnajdra) is a megalithic temple complex found on the southern coast of the Mediterranean island of Malta. Mnajdra is approximately 500 metres from the Ħaġar Qim megalithic complex. Mnajdra was built around the fourth millennium BCE; the Megalithic Temples of Malta are among the most ancient religious sites on Earth, described by the World Heritage Sites committee as "unique architectural masterpieces." In 1992 UNESCO recognized the Mnajdra complex and four other Maltese megalithic structures as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In 2009 work was completed on a protective tent.
Mnajdra is made of coralline limestone, which is much harder than the soft globigerina limestone of Ħaġar Qim. The main structural systems used in the temples are corbelling with smaller stones, and post and lintel construction using large slabs of limestone.

Amazing! If you are into history, archaeology, anthropology, or just checking out old places this spot is amazing! They give a great intro with 4d film in the beginning before allowing yo7 to go explore on your own. The sites are not that big but there is a lot to see regardless. Ancient temples to more modern towers. There are signs to explain everything. The staff is super friendly and are willing to talk to you and answer questions. There are hiking/walking nature trails around there to see where ancient meets more modern influences. Absolutely fascinating! Beautiful views of the sea as well.

Amazing temple ruins that you can get up close to and even walk inside. If that wasn't reason enough to go the view from here is breathtaking, make sure to leave time to sit down and take it in

Beautiful and extremely interesting. Unfortunately you cannot go around to see the back of it, but you definitely want to explore the surrounding areas too.

Fascinating look into Malta's past . This is the oldest known structure in the world built thousands of years before the Egyptian pyramids. Very imformitive show at the start which explains how it was found and why it was built and many of the finds on show . Hagar is joined to this site so you get two high quality temples in one
