It is a must to see if visiting Bahrain. All the souks, coffee shops, gold market, spice shops, etc are placed in one area. Looking for Souvenirs and artisans from the local communities and the neighbor contrite then no other place better than Bab al Bahrain. You need about 3 hours in the evening to roam the whole place, avoid the weekend to enjoy it.

The spice section is my absolute fave - the scent of fresh spices is unlike anywhere else. Not fond of the misc junk stores. Several fabric and home decor souqs with beautiful wares.

If you are going to visit Bahrain. Bab AlBahrain is a good place to visit. Lots of shops are there for mobiles, accessories, clothes, Gold, Bahaini sweet....etc. The only problem is no parking over there if you are using your car. Streets are very narrow in which there is no place to park. In general it is a good experience to have.

Love this place. Great shopping experience. Rookie tourist beware. If you cannot say "No", don't come. Great food, suits, and gold. People are nice, but they will try to sell you their wares. It's the nature of the Souq.

This landmark is actually the entrance to the Souk. As a landmark it’s not exceptional, however the soup it’s self is decent. You can get custom suits made for really cheap you can find many local trinkets and souvenirs as well as electronics and pretty much anything that you’re looking for. Parking is cheap across the street. There are lots of restaurants as well as shops. It can get pretty crowded some days.
