Visited in September 2016!! A lovely, lovely cathedral!! Staff were very friendly and helpful!! Even the organ being repaired didn't spoil the atmosphere!! Our guide was brilliant and very informative!! Evensong was worth staying for - absolutely divine!! Will definitely visit again!!

Beautiful historical building. Free entry. Services throughout the week. Think there are tours. Nice to take a quiet hour or two and walk around.

Marvellous visit. My school (MGS) had its Founder's Day service at the Cathedral but that's many years ago now (I'm 61). I was pleased to reacquaint myself with the Fire Window, even more beautiful than I remembered. I was with my American cousin who was visiting from Houston and he was knocked over by a sign asking for prayers for a small town in Texas near where he lives. We were approached by a volunteer who spent about 15 minutes showing us around, especially our interest in the stained glass, then knew to leave us to our own devices to look around. We stayed nearly 90 minutes. Maybe a small gift shop could be added?

Heavily restored and updated. One of the least interesting cathedrals in England. Not worth a special trip. Pop in if you are in the area.

Beautiful cathedral with great architecture. Admission is free. Donations accepted, and there is a £1 surcharge if you wish to take photographs inside the cathedral. Would recommend adding it to your itinerary as it can be a quick visit and it's in a very good location, near Chetham's Library, the National Football Museum, Corn Exchange, Printworks and Manchester Arndale. Easy to get to via bus or train (Victoria station).

Excellent place to visit. Very quiet and peaceful. Well worth a visit. If you want to escape the business of Manchester for a short time I would definitely take a walk through the cathedral

History in abundance within these walls, really is worth a visit. I'm not the most religious person but I do love visiting places like this as I do love history. Lots of interesting statues and nits inside. At the minute there's the Manchester bee statues inside and a photo comp exhibit on.

Lovely peaceful atmosphere tucked away amongst the bustle of Manchester City centre. Beautiful stained glass windows too.
