A pleasant place to visit for both young and old.
School visits and tours are welcomed by prior arrangement.
The tea room offers the usual tea, coffee and fizzy drinks with a selection of hot and cold snacks.

This is great value for money. Kids are free so you only pay for the adults. There are lots of buses and a model tram the kids can go in and out of. There's actually lots to read and see if you are able to (I.e. not with two small boys). Interesting film footage of Manchester in the Second World War and of buses. The canteen does a proper mug of tea. On the special event days such as the model railway exhibition there are free bus rides too.

I have visited the Museum of Transport on a few occasions. The vast array of Buses of different companies throughout the North West including North Western Road Car Company, Selnec, and GM Transport. Keep up the good work.

If you love buses then this place is definitely worth a visit. Set in the location of typical bus station, exhibits range from the very old to the modern

Loads and I mean loads of busses over 2 huge exhibit halls. From early frot engine single and double deckers, through to war to the modern super tram. Very good value for money, lots to look at and read and they have a small cafe too.

Great place to take young kids. Lots of buses on display and the kids can go on most of them.
Free street parking outside and the shop and cafe are very reasonable.
Very friendly and helpful people.

Great for my bus obsessed little boy to run between the buses and even a few to go on. He loved it! Cafe is very simple but good for a cheap cuppa and biscuit.

Great place, brung back fond memories of bus travel from when i was a kid. very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Deffo worth a visit.

Great 'hidden' museum and is a really interesting glimpse into the social history of the area. Probably not to everyone's taste hence the 4 stars. Good little cafe with reasonable prices too

Really good place if you or child like there vehicles! Would like to spent abit more time there but was difficult with a 3 year old! Can go on some buses and a tram which he loved. £4 bit overpriced for adults but kids are free.
