Very few know that the final resting place of Miguel Lopez de Legaspi (died 20 August 1572) is inside this 440-year old church. His sepulcher is on the left side of the altar (if you are facing it). To have the opportunity of viewing it, there should not be any mass being held or a wedding going on.
Very beautiful baroque church. For 200 pesos, we got ourselves a guide who is doing internship here. We were brought back in time during the tour. There were a lot of artifacts to see. The tour was short and sweet but it was quite informative. Feel free to ask away if you have any questions. The guide that we had was very friendly. Do try to go early and stay back and explore once the tour has finished. We went close to lunch time and when the tour is done, they closed the church during their lunch break. This church has Unesco Heritage status.
Worth a visit..great area for sightseeing if you don't mind swarms of local guides and vendors
It was wonderful for the first time with my cousins to visit great history on the church grounds. Thanks for the details given by a local tour guide as by appointment through a pastor who offered a healing Mass one Sunday morning at their place in Dasmariñas Village.
Nice and beautiful church san agustin church was one of four philippines churches constructed during the Spanish colonial period.
If your visiting Manila, the San Agustin Church should be on your list of places to visit. The outside of the church is beautiful, but the true beauty is located inside the church. As of March 2018, the cost was only $4 U.S. to enter the museum portion of the church. Upon entering, you will see incredible paintings, carvings, sculptures, & various other forms of artwork & history. The church itself is remarkable, beautiful, & something you won’t regret.
This is a marvelous place, a beautiful spot for worship and prayer. The collection of art exhibited in the various galleries is absolutely remarkable. After my daily meditation pilgrimage, I came in to check out the mind-blowing art collection...
This historic church is quite beautiful. The unfortunate for this church is how dark inside it was. The construction and details on the extremities are awesome considering their origins and era.
Well maintained, beautiful and secure church and grounds. Comfort rooms and shops are available. I can highly recommend for the Visita Iglesia 2018 starting tomorrow.

We were married in this church 27 years back. Today we needed to secure copy of our marriage certificate for a couples retreat. It did not take us 15 mins of wait at p50 per copy. The office area is clean and organized. People courteous and efficient. And amenities well managed.
When I was in college, they used to say that bones of a certain hero were found here. But alas, when I got there, it was so majestic to look at. A solemn place to think through and thank the Lord.
Final resting place of The Adelantado, Miguel Lopez de Legaspi (died 20 August 1572) inside this 440-year old church. His sepulcher is on the left side of the altar (facing it). To view the tomb, make sure there is no mass or wedding going on, as visitors are not allowed to approach the front.
